Anybody have recommendations for a USB 2.0/3.0 to SATA cable? I want to use this as a portable drive when travelling
Get a cheap USB 3 enclosure … some extra protection for the HDD and usually come with a USB 3.0 cable as well.
I feel like extra protection isn't really needed with an SSD because the case is fully selaed unlike a HDD which exposes the circuit boards. Adding a case will just put more heat buildup while under load.

If you have an esata port don't forget you can use that too. You can get one cable that powers your ssd and transfers data.

To save people reading the whole thing:
Skip to the very bottom of the article, where you can compare the 2 drives in a tabular format - Ultra II has better stats that PLUS in every way, except that it uses more power during idle.
Also:

Long time lurker, first time registered user… thanks to the OP for the deal, just purchased the 960GB drive. Was a bit tricky navigating the French site, Google Translate would only translate the first page and then not let me actually add the item to a cart but I stumbled through and got there in the end. $289 all up so slightly more than in the header but negligible. The wait begins!
I think there's a button on the Amazon site to make it English instead of relying on Google translate

Was about to shell out ~$210 for the Samsung evo 500gb, but decided the extra 400gb storage, albeit at a slower speed is worth the extra $80 or so.
Currently on a crucial bx100 SSD atm, not the fastest but fast enough for me, hopefully this performs just as good.
