More refined version, wider fov. But limited to samsung phones
It's a little more than the cardboard setup. It connects to your phone via the USB connection and has advanced head tracking sensors which are more accurate than those built into the phone. Also, it has a controlled pad and select/back buttons. The front is removable too, so that you can see 'through' the camera if you want to.
Apparently you can hack the Note4 to run in this, altho its designed for S6/S7/Note5
Have a link? I've got a Note 4 and I'm interested in this. Although… I don't want to get the Note 5 because the battery isn't removable.. so really, maybe I should stick to the cardboard ones. :(

If you need to get this cheaper, Ebay has a lot of second hand ones from people who got it for free with the s7 and thought meh.
Regardless, these are pretty cool and have a huge wow factor. Not many commercial games are good. Quite a few fantastic indie games like Adrift that are entertaining.
Watching a movie in a movie theatre like screensize is nice.
still waiting for mine via the S7/Edge offer, I wonder if it will be this series III one? It'll probably be cool to play with it for a while, but I hope I don't have to take the case off everytime I use it.

I love this thing, you can use the app "CB Enabler for Gear VR" to swap between the oculus apps and whatever cardboard apps you want to use. I think it cost 99c
The Galaxy S6 overheats after about 30minutes but putting a pedestal fan on low fixes that.
"AAA VR cinima" is another great app and "Milk VR" app from samsung inside oculus is an amazing VR player. You need to vpn to USA to be able to see it in the store. Use "Tunnel Bear" its free.
