    Great price for this telly, but is it worth $700 more than the LA40B650? Probably not. Colours wise the B650 is actually more vibrant, this is more of a show-piece with incredibly thin form factor and neat design. I would choose function over form and scoop up the B650 for $978.

    Keep In mind this model is not apart of the samsung's current free blu-ray ent system promotion

    and the NEW RRP for the 6 Series 40" LED has dropped to $2199 not $3499.

    Thus making the new C series around 1800 with free blu-ray ent system. (valued at 799)

      the RRP $2199 is for the UA40C6900, not the UA40B6000 sold here. different TVs.

        Care to enlighten me on the differences of those two models ?

        I thought UA40C6900 is the replacement to UA40B6000.

        Both 40"
        Both LED
        Both 100Hz

          That is correct.
          Main difference is in the aesthetic design and the addition of ethernet ports for network connectivity in the C6900 series.

      Ah that sucks. The guy I talked to at Myer said that they couldn't go below $1900 as that was their cost price!

      Ended up getting it for $1650 from Bing Lee.

      It's $350 cheaper and its an LED rather than a Plasma, which is a better all rounder as far as screen types go, in our opinion.
