    $30 / 30 days for Unlimited calls/text & 2.4GB of data (usually 1.2gb) on Optus 4G.

    I would go with Aldi L instead - $25 / 30 days for unlimited calls/text & 2GB of data on Telstra 4G. $5 cheaper and a better network.

      Better network.."Telstra"

  • +3

    How is this a deal?!

    • -2

I agree, Aldi is cheaper and uses a superior network. I don't see a deal here sorry.

This might be a good deal for people who need a new phone number every 10 days as part of their job…

        • lol what profession would need a new phone number every ten days jv ?

          Hit man, drug dealer, scammer…

        • @a744: A secret agent LOL

        • @jv:
Actually drug dealers sim cards are very valuable, most won't switch every 10 days. A lot of clients only care about getting the product not who from. A sim card used for for a long time will have many contacts and can be sold and resold on the market.

for someone from overseas only staying for 10 days, it's a good deal.

  • S Value Pack $15 (Aldi)
$25 of credit for calls (up to 250 minutes of calls)
Unlimited standard national SMS & MMS
    500MB data
    Calls 10c per min

    • Does this expire in 30 day?

      • +1

The S Value Pack has 30 days credit expiry.

  • I used this once about 3 months ago, found it to be too annoying to have to recharge every 10 days.

Yeah no good for that but could be cheap as a spare backup (just top up when needed) need to know your usage pattern to work it out.
especially if you don't have to top up till just under 6 months time (b4 sim dies)

    • Aldi Pay As You Go sim is the best spare phone back up as it stays active for one year and costs $5.00.

      • I think that you're wrong, the card minimum costs $15 and has $5 credit.

        • +2

No, the starter pack cost $5 and has $5 credit at AYG rates, but this is insufficient to buy a data pack and you need to buy a $15 recharge for 1.5GB. That assumes you want a backup for data allowance. For calls you could use the $5 credit.

        • @greenpossum:
They only show the $15 sim on their web page unless they hide the $5 deal somewhere?

        • +1

          @dealhunt:

          https://www.aldimobile.com.au/starterpack

That is what the deal is right there.

          @snappy1234:
Thanks for the link otherwise it was impossible for me to find the deal, also I feel like the description on the web page is not clear, they say buy the sim starter pack which includes $5 credit, it nowhere says the sim card costs $5 and you get $5 credit.
Also I'm not able to find informations regarding the expire date of the card.

        • @dealhunt:

Expiry ? not sure the sim has one anymore actually
          anyway the webpage says

          Buy a SIM starter pack

          3 SIM sizes available
2-in-1 standard/micro SIM or nano SIM available

          Comes with included credit
$5 credit on our Pay As You Go plan

No extra charge to buy your SIM online
          Free Postage and Handling

  • Sorry OP but this is not a deal worth posting on Ozbargain.
