    Ouch…can you return it? Well, if you are travelling overseas within the next 60 days, you can at least claim the 10% tax (brings it down to $310.50). I've always held back at $345 because I feel that it could be cheaper. Sometimes the outlet stores have it for cheaper, I want the red one which isn't stocked at Strandbags, Myer, DJs and negotiated it down to $310 at a luggage outlet store in Brisbane, and if I travel overseas and claim the 10% tax, brings it down to $279.

      I got the red ones. I took out of Strandbag and like most people, put it on the road and dump my bag in it…so yeah..I've used to. can't return it now :(

  Is this a 'real' discount though? I've not been paying attention to actual prices but certainly have noticed the seemingly constant 40% or 50% off on cases out the front. Bit like rugs-a-millions never ending all year, limited time, 70% off sales :)

  Edit: After a Google search it seems $289 is sale price with multiple outlets, including DJ, Myer

  man these bags are a rip off in Australia lmao!, American tourister is a budget brand (samsonite value line), it costs a fraction of it costs over here over in the USA. I just don't buy bags from here period even when on sale, i pick up bags from overseas either from asian countries or United states

  David Jones and Myer are also selling Cosmolite suitcases currently at 50% (usually max is 40%) which is pretty rare.
  If you have an Amex You are probably better off buying DJ or Myer gift cards at supermarkets for 3 points then using them at their respective stores.
