  • That is dirt cheap! And 13 is in stock, wonderful!

    • yeah I agree, never seen them this cheap! Always good when they have those larger sizes too :)

Damnnnnnn Daniel, back at it again with the Hi Top Vans!

  • Good deal. Was going to buy them under their normal sale, glad I waited for even more discount

    • Yep good idea. Patience nearly always leads to better bargains :)

  • +1

    good deal mate

  • I'm a size 9 converse. Should I stick with the nine or..? Anyone who has worn these before can you help me out?

    • You should be alright, but try to get a size 10 because since these are high-tops then you can afford it to be loose (it won't fall out)

  • Not sure if I should get the leather one :/

    • It's pretty cheap and has a retro appeal appeal to them. Leather will probably be more hard wearing too :)

      • Just bought the Sk8 Hi Top hoping to use it in the gym for weight lifting but still on the fence about the leather. Although if it's slim does that mean it would be smaller than my normal size?

        • Yeah I think they are a slimmer fit. Still they are a steal at that price and CultureKings has a good returns policy :)

        • use these in gym also. recommend/10

        • @CV333:

Which ones the leather or normal?

        • @superezra: have both, normal is more comfortable.

  • +1

Don't know much about these other than the look, and i don't mind it.. so I grabbed me a pair

    Thanks Shameless

You are welcome, enjoy your new shoes :)

anyone 10.5 in nike free, what vans do you get?

    • +1

Im an 11 in nikes, I reckon an 11 in Vans should be suffice. Been reading online that they are true to size for most people so you might just have to wear socks :)

  • I've found high tops are usually more forgiving when it comes to being a little bit bigger than your usuals. Obviously don't try something that's going to be over 1 size up from your normal shoes…

  • +2

will i have swag if i wear these

What is the return policy like for culture kings? Can return them in store if wrong size?

    • +1

      https://www.culturekings.com.au/shipping-returns

You can return it for store credit but you should also be able to exchange it for the correct size too.

      • "Sale items can only be returned for store credit and unfortunately can not be exchanged or refunded." a la the 'SALE OR PROMOTIONAL STOCK' heading?

        • Maybe exchange them with a fellow Ozbargainer then :)

  • I wouldn't recommend leather van's, they turn bad real quick. The canvas one's however, are a steal.

Sizing is usually the same as converse, 0.5-1 size down, I go tts since I have really wide feet

I found the opposite. Bought a pair of leather Hi-Tops when I was living in Canada to get me through the winter and despite a lot of walking in salty ice sludge they are still in great condition. I have some lo pro leather Vans that are pretty new that I can see probably won't last nearly as long though.

      • Sorry, I should've specified I was talking about the leather. I've got the premium reissue white high's and the leather looks like complete ass. It's wrinkled throughout and although it is pretty soft it's definitely not reflective of the price.

        • That's a feature.

        • @Munki:

No, I don't mean creasing I mean wrinkling like widows peaks. Came with a few as well.

  • Hehe those chairs you mentioned are now 80c each after discount c&c

    • I can't get them to c&c though? Some broden purchased 40 of them today too!

  • The Vans are selling fast, already 100 sold and only 150 left in stock. I reckon they will be sold out by tomorrow.

    • yeah when i bought a pair there were only ~10 in size 8 left. super cheap!

welcome to buying shoes in Australia…no half sizes… Bet half the population is wearing ill fitting joints

    • Having them a little big is handy - no need to undo the laces just slip on and off :)

      • +2

sure…but if you actually skate…then the convenience is not worth the lack of board feel or broken ankle. Anyway, these shoes aren't easy at all to just slip your feet into unless they're like boats on your feet.

Wearing shoes that don't fit properly is pretty bad, health wise and looks wise

  • I've had some Vans in the past and found the padding isn't as good as other shoes - not sure about these exact Vans though, but I remember the ones I had my heel felt like it had barely any padding on the sole cushion…

    • same experience here…

  • Hi, I am size 8.5 US , what size should I pick here , size 9 perhap ? Thanks

    • As stated:

Fit: True To Size - order your regular size
      US Mens Sizing

      • +1

Thanks, I'l pass as no half size.

  • Are these shoes comfortable for hiking in? Any ideas what the average street price would be?

    • i would not hike in these they dont have a very comfortable sole its quite thin

    • +4

lol get proper hiking shoes, with a decent sole, these shoes don't breath and your feet are gonna get crazy soggy in them.

They're pretty much casual sneakers/skating shoes

  • +2

Cheers another pair of Vans I didn't need!

    • +1

      join the club lol

  • What's the quality of these vs the normal vans skate shoes (which I've found to be very low quality).

My converses have held up for years vs my vans which fell apart in under 1

  • One of the most versatile shoes in streetwear today, shame it's sold out in my size..

    • +1

and most played out…Supreme and Vans are like the K-pop uniform

      • played out or not, still popular and cheap enough to thrash

  • +1

Too many shoe sales. Picked up pairs from the earlier CK sale, Surfstitch, Iconic, and now this all in the past month.

  • Why the hell do they use US sizing when posting on Australian ebay? Actually why did those bloody Americans have to add 1 to each size and call it US sizing? I just realised I got a pair that is too small!!

    • +3

      US sizing is the standard.

America is the most culturally influential superpower the world has ever seen. It makes sense that their brand names and companies follow their sizing standards.

    • +2

There is no such thing as Australian sizes. We use US sizing here.

      • +1

There is Australian sizing, complete with the AUS thing on the label but it is seldom used…RM Williams is a good example of Australian sizing which is pretty much just the UK sizing regime anyway. RM williams make some pretty decent quality shoes too…

    • Same here! silly as i thought it was UK sizing at first and now bought a pair one size too small!

  • Anyone pick up the wrong size interested in swapping? I bought size 11, they're a little big after checking the he size at the shops. Anyone who has a size 10 want to swap?

  • all gone? dang, anyone wanna sell me a pair?

  • My shoes arrived today and they are a good fit :)
