Pomegranate for $2 Each at IGA Fairfield VIC (Possibly Statewide/Nationwide)

100

Just saw pomegranate for only $2 a piece which is such a bargain as it never goes below $3 even at Coles or woolworths. Currently Coles are selling them for around $4 - $5 range.

I saw it at IGA in Fairfield Victoria. Cant say if it is specific to one store or nationwide or statewide

Not really, they're much cheaper at fruit shops…

    • And they taste sour too

      • Yes, the supermarket ones do…

The quality of their fruit is really poor… Either under ripe or over ripe…

Most of the fruit shops in my area have excellent quality fruit and often cheaper than the supermarkets…

        • Not the supermarket ones but the fruit n veg shop ones

  • +1

Have you ever tried to eat one .. :-( .. my grandmother had a tree and we used them as missiles. They made great missiles .. :-) .. !!

    • Oddly, that's my exact story too. For many years I didn't even think you could eat them.

I came here just to don my flamesuit and say that pomegranate tastes terrible.

    • Always get the seeds caught in my teeth ;-)
Definitely a grandmother's fruit, but good in small serves.

  • It's quite common to see pomegranates for $1.50 each even at Coles or Woolworths.
    So $2 is expensive.
