  • Newcastle-based photographer.

  • Hi gm16! It would be great if you could answer these questions:

    • How much do extra prints cost? (are digital copies included for free?)
    • What are the copyright and future usage arrangements?
    • How often are your deals usually available?

See this earlier deal for some recent discussion of photography deals.

      Hi, thanks for your enquiry.

      1. The cost of additional prints depend on size and number purchased. I'd rather not post full details to this site, but if you are interested please visit our site and fill out the contact form, and we will gladly email you our full Pricing Information Pack. That said, our prices are competitive. We provide some photos for web use (these are not print quality).

      2. We retain copyright on our images, as is standard practice. I'm not sure exactly what you're referring to by 'future usage', could you please be more specific? Our Pricing Information Pack details the options for purchasing your photos in high resolution.

      3. This is one of our first deals on portraits. If it proves popular we may offer it again for special occasions. Sorry I can't be more specific at this stage!

      Cheers

        1. Please provide the prices.

        2. Do you resell photos you take to third parties? Is it possible the photos can be used for your own marketing/promotional/internal use?

We are an established photography studio, operating for about 5 years. As stated above Josh is a fully accredited member of the AIPP, which means we fully abide by the their Code of Ethics.

    1. As stated above, we will provide a full information package including prices when an enquiry is made via the website. Sorry, we're not going to post all this information here.

    2. Photos will never be resold to third parties without the explicit permission of the subject. Yes, we may use photos for our portfolio, but if this is an issue please let us know. Our goal is to ensure our clients are satisfied with the photos, but also the whole experience.

  • Why are you so scared to give the prices? Businesses who don't want to give out their prices publicly are not worth bothering with, you're probably hoping to sucker in people to buy this cheap voucher and hope they don't ask how much extra prints are, then smash them with high prices for extra prints when they do want them. I hope someone does enquire then posts up your pricing anyway on here anyway.

    • lazed, I find your post quite disappointing and indeed offensive.

We maintain the highest business practices, and are more than happy to provide prices to individuals who are genuinely interested, which requires no more than filling out a simple web contact form. We have been upfront with what the voucher includes, and have declared we are representatives of Living Light Photography. We email our pricing list (which is a 5 page document, and hence shouldn't really be posted here) to anyone who enquires, as we've mentioned several times in earlier posts. We have no interest in tricking clients.

Let me point you again to the AIPP code of ethics at http://www.aipp.com.au/UserFiles/File/CodeofEthics.pdf (PDF link). We believe in upfront honesty and integrity. Please treat us with the same.

  • You still have not priovided a reason as to why you don't want to post your prices on here.

"We love OzBargain, and don’t want our fellow OzBargainers to miss out. :)"

  • +1

We only want our prices viewed by individuals who are genuinely interested, not by our competitors or any other party whose interest is that other than that of potential clients. Also, as our prices are subject to change, and if it's posted on the web we don't know what version of prices people are looking at. Once we supply prices to a potential client they are fixed (for a reasonable period), and we have never increased prices on a client.

We are sorry to have offended so many individuals, but we have stated over and over again: those that are genuinely interested can easily obtain a copy of our prices.
