I have aldi but their 4G network is pathetic, it is not the full Telstra one. I live in Melbourne and a normal Telstra 4G would be full bar but on aldi 4G it's 1-2 bars.

    As a result I use 3G

      same here in Sydney.

    • It's been good for me, Optus used to chew through my battery because to was constantly looking for a better connection, was previously with Telstra directly and Aldi is the same and I use it all over Melbourne as I travel abit

      • Was reading on forums different people are getting different results on Aldi 4G even within the same area / location. Sounds like they allocated full service for some and some half a service, at least from what I've read and reports that seems to be the case.

        • wondering if there is something to do with the phone you use and the available band?

    • 8klm North of Melb CBD here; was getting full bar with Optus prepaid, but since switching to Aldi it’s been 1 bar, sometimes 2 but never have I seen it more (on a Note 4).

    • I ported recently from Telstra and have the same coverage. Maybe it's cos I'm mainly in Sydney.

  • I've found it to be fairly good. I got a 100 meg connection here.

  • is it just until the 17th of june or for the duration of the plan?

    • *Important Customers will only receive one bonus data offer during the promotional period, so if you buy the XL pack more than once, you will only receive the 1GB bonus data once with the first purchase."

Just until the 17th, but I've been with them for a while now and they are good, probably the best value plan with Telstra network

  • Bought an Aldi mobile sim card yesterday and returned it today.
Put in all the details online and would not activate. Spoke with them on the phone…
    very unhelpful…irritating…wasted 1 hour.
They wanted me to put in my credit card details for a prepaid. Are they joking???
