Hey, pathetic losers need accommodation too! ;)

        Ouch, negs…sorry I really meant:

        pathetic self-focused attention seeking losers

        There, fixed! :)

        • You have disregarded Store Rep/OP's generosity. He/she informs us we are welcome to revoke our likes if we don't enjoy our stay. Even though we are expected to like it before approaching the building.

The EXTRA discount is VERY clearly available only to FB users. Even you should be able to work out something like that.

      • +2

        Why though?

          @Mic Cullen:

doesn't seem very smart to exclude people who don't choose to use Facebook.

        • +2

@jv: Look, even with your rudimentary English skills, I don't see how you get to "exclude." It gives a discount to anyone on here, and an extra discount to people who like it on FB. This is hardly complicated, and excludes nobody.

        • +1

          @jv: Hi Jv,

Yes, I agree JV which is why we have created two deal options. Either-way you get a great deal and it's great value in comparison with any other option.

Look, even with your rudimentary English skills

          No need for personal attacks.

It excudes them from getting the same price

        • @jv:

          Hi Jv,

One must put a price on everything no matter how simple the task. Clicking like uses the value of the customer (their network of friends and family) which is worth money. They are paying the difference $5 in the room fare by promoting our content to their network.

Some people that like our post may create $100 value by clicking like and some might create no value but overall they complete a task and get a value for it. To indicate that these people are paying less also indicates that their time is not worth anything.

This is why we value the click, because we value the effort they give.

Thanks for the comments JV, and thanks for the support Mic_Cullen

      • Yes but they're discrimation against us Face(book)less men. We'd protest, but we don't want you to see our faces….Mmmm didn't Target have Chewbacca ,asks on special?

    • Because liking a business Facebook page is a form of payment. That would be my best answer jv. I don't use Facebook much myself but if a customer likes our page it gives us two things;

      • A bit of increased awareness of our brand.
      • A slight increase in trust of our brand.

Because liking a business Facebook page is a form of payment

        How?

What if people have their settings private and don't share their likes?

        • Hi Jv,

That "form of payment" is averaged out over all of the likes we get. We accept that a large number of people will set everything to private.

On average we are thanking people for promoting us with an associated value to the effort.

Thanks for the input jv, and if no one likes our Facebook page, or we get no value from the like offer we'll just have one option next time.

OP correct me if I'm wrong, but the $95 price is with a Facebook like otherwise everyone else is $100.

People sometimes reward people for following them on Facebook. It is part of the marketing. There are plenty of examples on Ozbargains of this. similar to prices only being available through the companies app etc.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
    nice SEO spam

If for some crazy reason you do book a room, be sure to revoke your like!

    • -1

Hi fruit, you are welcome to revoke your like if you don't enjoy your stay. That is fine by us, but our motel is rated very highly for a reason, and that is because our rooms are immaculate, spacious, air-conditioned, and we provide heaps of extras and go out of our way to help guests where we can.

  • +1

Is this an apartment or motel?

    • Hi Jayz,

Our 1 bedroom is a self-contained apartment but it's typically listed just as a motel room.

Kitchen facilities, fridge (small), microwave, electric stove top, kitchen utensils etc.

A lot of our guests stay 5+ weeks in the 1 bedroom, but our two bedroom apartments are suitable for long term stays.

Can some explain how you can like a motel room before you try it?

Looking at the likes they have already doesnt give you much confidence that this maybe a bargain.

    • Hey Rocky Raccoon, we are one of the highest 2nd I think rated motel in Rockhampton based on Booking.com (People can only review if they have paid and stayed a night), and Trip Advisor we are rated at 90+ %.

Unfortunately, a Motel Manager cannot market effectively across all channels, and Facebook is one we've not really used. This would be fine but Search Engines do put value on having social credibility (A Facebook account with likes, and interaction).

So I am using this as an opportunity to provide a very good deal at a beautiful (almost brand new) with the opportunity for our Motel to get a bit of Facebook presence.

But please look us up if you're not comfortable booking a room yet.

      Kind regards

      Ben

Hi Rocky Raccoon, you are also welcome to unlike the page if you are not happy with your stay.

Do yourself a favour and stay down the road by the water at Yeppoon instead, Rocky is a complete shit hole.

    • Rockhampton from my experience has a lot of business travellers who are not able to stay in Yeppoon. No point staying 30 minutes from your work site/office each day.

      • Tell that to the majority of CBD workers in any major city…

    I don't have Facebook account.

    • +1

I don't use Facebook much either but you have two options for non-facebook users as well.

4 Star Accommodation at $100 per night is not possible anywhere else in Rockhampton unless you stay somewhere horrible that is self-rated 4-star.

Isn't it a bit of a logic jump to "like" something that you have yet to experience?
