    • Ah why couldn't I find that.

    • +1

      No.

As your linked deal doesn't mention the Qantas statement credit offer in the title (only HP and Event Cinemas), this is not a duplicate.

On the other hand, the OP should acknowledge TRENT86 in the original post instead.

      • Can't really put all the linked deals in the title, has a word limit..

        • Sure, that's why you'll see, for example, single items from Coles and Woolworths weekly posts having their own individual deals. Anything that isn't forming a given post's title can be posted separately as its own deal.

        • @KaptnKaos:

ah righto..learn something new everyday :)

      • Alright I have amended the description.

How to go around that card fee, $30 per customer for international flights is crazy

    • if you card have travel insurance cover then it give you free insurance plus $20 off

    • +2

Partially pay using Qantas gift voucher

      • +1

That's correct. If you are getting a one way or return airfare, just buy a gift voucher for yourself. I've done this before.

Remember you can't do multi city bookings with the voucher

        • +2

And it has to be a one way or return departing Australia (which is annoying me right now as I have to book a one-way from NZ->AU…)

      • So just to be clear, if you part pay with a Q gift card, then there is no card fee???

        • +2

If you buy a 350 voucher and you flight is 600, the additional amount is fee free

        • +2

There is no credit card fee to buy the gift voucher or to pay any additional amount that the gift card does not cover when you book.

Note, however, the restrictions on the use of gift vouchers mentioned above.

        • Has anyone tried purchasing say a $50 gift voucher, then the remainder of the booking with the AMEX which is over $350 and got the $50 back?
Reading the conditions it seems to fit the use case, but would be interested (as from memory, the payment page for payment after a gift card is applied is different…

  • does this include Jetstar?

    • +1

No, just Qantas mainline, and only when purchased through the QF website rather than an external agent. Though it might include JQ flights purchased through the QF website as part of a QF itinerary.

  • Does anyone know if this can be used on the Qantas store? Or is it just on their travel associated sales?

  • Just bought a $400 gift voucher and got the following email from AMEX: "Thank you for using Amex Offers with your Card ending xxxx at QANTAS AIRWAYS (M). If your purchase meets the offer terms, you will receive a $50 credit. Credits usually take 5 days to appear on your account upon completion of your qualifying transaction, but may take up to 90 days after the offer has ended."
I'll let you know how it goes.

    • My $50 credit was applied 2 days after redeeming (although it did take 5 days to appear on my account) all good!

      • Did you buy the gift voucher online?

        • +1

Yes and I got it straight away and used it straight away to redeem for a flight on the qantas website. Whole process took less than 20 minutes.

  • Anyone had success paying for a Qantas Club membership using this offer? According to the T&C it looks like flights only, but…
