Samsung Bar USB.3.0 Flash Drive 32GB $14 @ Officeworks

920

This Samsung Bar USB Flash Drive has a sleek & compact design with a large hole that can easily be attached to your keyring or lanyard. You can use it to backup your data and keep it handy when you're on the go.

I picked one up last night from Officeworks, Kew however this price is nationwide. It's waterproof, shock proof and very slick made of metal, it wont break like you plastic USBs. Definitely worthwhile spending a little extra and getting something with this larger capacity in my opinion.

Click & Collect, store pick up or delivery all available.

    Same price @ HN

    • Yeah you were able to get it price beaten for $13.3 when HN was first posted.

Funny how this deal is getting more votes than the original HN one.

      • Seems to always happen with OW price matches lol

        • But price matching isn't a deal

  • Bought a 64G from OW for $26.6 after price matched HN. Still very good price for 32G model if you don't need a lot of space.

  • Thanks

    me like sleek looking things.

  • Speeds are misleading; the three 32GB models I bought for various family/friends all start at around 100MB/s read for for the first 1GB of the drive, then fall to around 20MB/s after that. Read speeds are similar.
That being said, I still have it on my keychain as my everyday USB drive and would recommend it to those not needing the fastest drive out.

    • Amazon reviews for it are quite good (86% 4 stars or above) but the negative reviews are mentioning the same problem.
You might have gotten a faulty chip.

3 times in a row? I think most people that review it just don't look that hard into the performance tbh

  • Almost got this but I heard it heats up way too much, plus it's only 32gb. 64 would be ideal for me.

    • It gets very hot but I don't think it's an issue, it's just something you notice when you pull it out. The thing that always seems to bug me with it (I have the 128gb version) is the end can sometimes get in the way of the USB port above it (depending on the computer setup)

    • Mine is plugged in 6hrs per day at work (just for occasional file access here and there), no heat issues AFAIK

  • Maybe I won't lose this one because it's so good looking c:

  • One of the better bar-type usb drvies on the market. However, the speed is not the top notch.

  • How's the speed?

  • Get some good priced 2011-3 cpus and i will be there wiht my wallet in my hand.

DEAR OP any chance of getting some low priced 5820ks

16 pci lanes yeah no thanks.
Have 2 980ti's and a pci drive so not very helpful.

      What?
What's that got to do with a usb drive?

      • +1

He is in the wrong thread. There is a deal from a person in Campbeltown selling
intel 6700 Cpus and Samsung SSDs.
i would link it but i cbb

        • yeah i had 2 tabs open.

am I missing something or does that make no sense..

  • Hmmm…too close in price to the $15 delivered Samsung FIT 32GB from an Australian seller on eBay.

    OH! Found Futu Online sells the FIT 32GB for $14.90 - 20% (CLICK20) = $11.92 Delivered!
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/250593

    • And Futu Online also sells the FIT 64GB for $26 delivered with Click20.

      • That's the Samsung Bar not the FIT.

        • You're right, my bad.

The drive is made using waterproof, shock proof, magnet proof, temperature proof and x ray proof technologies.

Hmmmmm, so if I have it in water, shock it somehow(I assume surge protection or does it refer to amount of Gs it can handle - so I could ditch it really hard at a wall and drop the the ground unscathed and still work?), zap it with a fairly strong magnet, have it in a freezer and or heating it up at a very high temperature and give it some X-Rays, and this thing would still work?

  • should I get Samsung USB or buy Aldi's 64 GB USB for about $27 and USB 3.0 compatible?

    • Wait for the same samsumg model 64GB discount to $28. Or maybe call OW to price match HN's previous deal?

    • @rocklinsuv

Bought a 64G from OW for $26.6 after price matched HN. Still very good price for 32G model if you don't need a lot of space.

  • 5 Year warranty (!)
