Please Help Me Decide Asus Zenbook vs Dell Inspiron 13 7000 Series

Hi guys
eBay sale will end soon and I'm stuck between these two my max budget is $1200

Dell Inspiron 13 7000 series i7 6th gen 256ssd 8gb ram touchscreen

Vs.
ASUS Zenbook UX305UA 13.3" i5 128GB SSD 8gb ram

Touchscreen is not important to me but space is.
Both seem pretty portable however Zenbook has better battery life

We running against the time here guys more reponses the better

The dell inspiron's battery lift is definitely better than 6 hours, I can easily make it up to 8 hours if only browsing the web

  • if you think you'll use the dell as a tablet occasionally go for that. I would for , say, sitting on couch watcingh tv, and browsing.
Zen is purely just a laptop.

zen is certainly small and good looking though.

I was in the exact same boat. Ended up going the Dell but getting it from the outlet for $879. Hopefully receive it Friday. Have heard the battery is still around 7+ hours which is heaps for me.

Decider for me was just the versatility.

  • Dell Factory Outlet has a refurb Inspiron 13 7000 for $799 (i5-6200U, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, 1080p touch) if that helps.

The Zenbook is definitely the nicer looking machine, and probably better built too - but it's not worth the extra $600 compared to this deal IMO.

    • $600?

      • Maybe $600 without the 20% off.

  • Whoops, the refurbished Dell is only $280 cheaper after the eBay discount. Bear in mind that the Dell has double the SSD capacity

  • I just ordered the dell a few days ago after i had tried both of them.
If you wanted to try them out in person beforehand, JB has the dell and Bing Lee has the Asus
