  • Good price on the 4K …anyone know if there are any cashback offers working with the new dick smith Kogan owned website?

  • Remember that "Dick Smith" brand is Kogan not the good ol' DSE.

    • if the stock is from DS it still horrible.

      Pretty sure I have 'Kogan' enough in the title and post that no one is confused ;) Not that Dick Smith branded products were ever compared to Samsung or Panasonic

    would these TVs be good for PS4 gaming?

  • anyone know if there are any adapters that can do DP1.2 to HDMI 2.0 to drive 4k@60hz from a computer?

  • 40" has a samsung panel
    41.5" has a CMO panel http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/2362441

  • Dse 41.5 4k was in their clearance sale… had terrible reviews. I notice there's no reviews on the website anymore :-)

    If its the same tv.

      From memory - the vast majority of the negative reviews were in regards to sound quality, which was rectified through the use of a sound bar or PC 2.1 speakers. picture quality and responsiveness were rated in the "pretty good" range.

  • how are these compared to Soniq

      Not a straight comparison but people have put their thought forward out of 2. People who own Soniq are happy.

      I am not sure how the warranty works with Kogan\DSE after the buyout. But personally, I would buy non-famous branded (u know what I am talking about) TVs from the store. You don't want to go through the trouble of posting the goods and go back and forth if anything goes wrong. Speaking of experience, bought LED TV from DSE store 4 yrs ago and had a line going across the screen, went back to the store and they replaced happily.

    Still waiting for my 4K tv ordered over a month ago. Was supposed to have 'left the warehouse' on the 7th but still no notification

    • Hi imp
      Tracking is being emailed out today and this should be with you very shortly.
      Looking forward to your upcoming delivery.

        Wow we have had a Kogan official rep on here for nearly 1 year now and not one bargain posted, haha.

        • +1

          Kogan had/have a ban on store-rep posted deals due to sockpuppeting, not sure if ban has been lifted now or not

      • Nope. No tracking information has been mailed out.
        This TV was supposed to LEAVE the warehouse on the 7th and after 3 days it seems to still be there.

      • Still no tracking information from Kogan so I guess it is still at the warehouse. Wouldnt trust them again.

    I am thinking of getting the 41.5" for a PC monitor… on the fence anyone have any comments?

    does anyone know how this 41.5 panel compares to the more expensive 42

    BTW - for the 42" only you can use the following coupon code gets you 10% off: junedeals

    41.5 = $319 +shipping
    42 = $386.10 +shipping (includes discount coupon)

    help me decide please; again this is for a computer monitor (not a gamer so refresh rate should be fine)

    • it's only full hd and i want to use if for a computer monitor, at that size i think i will require ultra hd.

      i am already using the sony bravia 32" full hd and its on the edge; don't think you could push and extra 10" on that res
