  • I ask this in almost all dual sim phone posts:

Are both sims 3g at the same time? New XiaoMi's dual sim phones are starting to have this.

New note is on the way, think its gd to wait to see further price reductions on these

    • The new Note 6 is coming out in Aug/Sept.

    • +2

Samsung Note holds its price pretty well from past experiences.

  • +2

Note 6 will be much better, likely will be waterproof as well as with micro SD slot. Just 2 more months.

      … and $600 more.

      • Not with a 20% ebay code. I'm willing to pay up to $850 for Galaxy Note 6 AU stock.

        • This one is dual sim, which AU do not stock.

Actually can you please help me understand why non-AU stock is so bad?
          Is it the warranty support?
But the non-AU stock is usually cheaper… Isn't that like not-buying extended warranty?

    • And also a bigger battery :)

    • Next Note is actually called Note 7. There will be no Note 6.

      • Is this confirmed? I wonder why they skip 6?

        • +2

so the number is in line with the galaxy s line

Another downside is lack of removable battery. I've replaced the one on my Note 4 twice. Fast charging kills the batteries more quickly than traditional charging.

    • +1

That's not how Lithium Ion batteries work…

      • True. It's heat that kills batteries quickly, and in many cases fast charging makes the battery hotter than normal.

I'd read a number of complaints about this in the past, but have just googled it based on your comment and it seems I can relax a bit more (and re-enable fast charging) without too much concern. The higher heat is allegedly still within an acceptable range.

  • Why buy now? It'll be at least $150 cheaper when Note 6 is out.

  • <insert comment on how K/Bogan is crap>

Solid phone, using one right now.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 may feature an iris scanner.

  • I think this is the cheapest price it has been…
But two months from now the new Note would appear… So I wouldn't call it a good price yet…

  • did anyone's order get cancelled by kogan?
mine did they said they had stock issues!
gave me two options 1) store credit plus $10 or 2) full refund plus $10

  • We bought a Apple computer from Kogan. Faulty on arrival, sent back, Apple put up their prices, Kogan said bad luck, we will not replace it as we won't make any money on it, and are offering a refund instead. Never buying Kogan again.
