        • ok guess i'll try with my CBA issues Amex later tonight - always thought this was just a promo only offered direct with Amex (as opposed to a bank amex card)

          :)

  • I am confused about "shoe warehouse" offer. On the website it says it is in market town Newcastle but that is "shoe superstore". I am not sure I'll get credit back if I shop there!

  • I have just added it to my CBA issued Amex ! I don't think it is out of stock

    • thanks - deal updated :)

  • Saved to 2 cards successfully and now showing in the 'my offers' tab

  • +1

Just registered now via the manual link and got a confirmation email

    https://offerenroll.americanexpress.com/enroll/EnrollmentSit…

edit: it now says "This offer is limited to the first 50,000 Cards to register"

    • Did you receive the credit as online purchases are excluded

      • They weren't sure so I had to go into the store (same price).

    Sydney Umart customers:
Hurstville branch doesn't accept AMEX. Applies for all "express" stores.
I went in the Hurstville store today, and asked the staff if they accept AMEX, they said "not for Umart online purchases".
Reason being the store is called Orange, and serves as a pick-up point for Umart.
They use two different eftpos machines. One for the actual store, and one for Umart. Payment system is completely separate.
The Umart machine doesn't accept AMEX.

So all orders must be picked up from West Ryde store to use AMEX. I have called the West Ryde branch already and have confirmed.

    • thx for the heads up, I work near Broadway and was about the drop by later today

and unfortunately, that means this deals is useless to me :(

  • Does it work with Hush Puppies online?

    • You have to go into a Hush Puppies store to receive the credit as per OP online transactions are excluded

      • Went to the shop, most shoes are last pairs (displays), no size or marked/damaged. After almost an hour, managed to pick 2 pairs for $120 so $90 after credit makes them $45 a pair. good stuff!

        • Good shopping :) unfortunately as with the majority of the stores listed there are no stores located in WA so no shoes for me

        • Hi, which store did you go to? Is it the one in Burwood?

        • @agito1993:
yeah not much there that night, mostly display pair left for my size. Didn't end up getting the one I originally wanted as the display shoe is loose compared to the one that was still in the box.

          Did you go?

        • @sintro: I plan to go there and have a look after I finish my exam next week. Sigh… thinking of getting a pair of work shoes since my sis accidentally threw it away. Hopefully there will be some left for my size…

  • Has anyone received credit from videopro online?

  • Regarding Bose when I go to the Bose website and search for stores it brings up all my local Myers I assume that this credit offer wouldn't be valid there. So in WA is The Subiaco Bose store valid and are there any other locations

  • just signed up this morning, still working

  • Got my Dymock credit overnight after meeting the $100 spend on Tuesday. Now to see which other two merchants I can spend $100 at …

  • Any idea Bose does price match?

    • I can tell you they don't let you take photos in store (Westfield Sydney store)

    • +1

I heard someone said yes at Sydney store on another thread. Melbourne store doesn't need price match even.. already 10% off for QC35

  • Awesome, I was pretty disappointed I missed out on the recent Good Guys 20% Deal. Ended up picking up the Logitech Z623 speakers at Comp Alliance for $99 (they are $129 at the moment). I didn't get charged the Credit Card Fee either.

  • I bought a $100 gift voucher from Wallace Bishop and have received the $30 credit on my statement. Birthday present for my sister is sorted.

  • Hi - which Boss store does the Amex promotion relate to? T&Cs refer to a Bose store which I believe no longer exists:

    BOSE
    SHOP 3 MELBOURNE CENTRAL
    300 LONSDALE ST
    MELBOURNE
    3000

I went to this one and AMEX worked:

      The Bose Store
      336 La Trobe St
      Melbourne VIC 3000

Hi, first time poster here. Just wondering can anybody confirm that this is not a scam? I am just suspicious because most banks/credit cards would not ask you to divulge personal info eg credit card number online.

    • +2

Scam?? What do you mean?? This is just one of the many offers by AMEX

    • +2

It's not a scam Amex run these offers a lot, I have already received my $30 back after my Bose purchase

    • +1

Definitely not a scam; I've gotten hundreds of dollars back from AMEX. They just want you to use AMEX.

      • thanks guys. so it's normal to have to enter your credit card number to obtain the offer for AMEX?

        • +1

Yep. It's so they know whose card is enrolled and whose isn't.

    • Haha I know you're new but lol that is a funny question.

As per kerfuffle's reply, if you don't enter your details they won't know which card you're using!

Think about it - when you pay for something, say for example from Woolworths Online, you're "sharing" (your credit card) information with them too. They're not gonna know what card you want (have) to pay with unless you type in your card details. Same logic I guess.

  • MasterCard, Visa & Bankcard incur a 3% surcharge. American Express incurs a 6% surcharge.

    UMART T&Cs at checkout

    • Nelly, Amex would be interested knowing that I would think.

      • I called to confirm but they said 3%… pretty confusing.. hope they don't charge me 6% when I rock up.

  • Anyone tried seperate transactions for Umart or Computer Alliance? Tempted to get the Asus AC68U for $168 after -$60 from two transactions.

  • For anyone who want to dine at Meat & Wine Co (South bank), can confirmed that you can use more than 1 cards when paying, but depending on who serves you. I went to the front to pay the bill and wanted to pay with 4 cards, the lady said she can only take 2 cards, so i took the bill back to my table and asked a waitress who walked pass and ask her if we could pay with 4 cards, and she was happy to do that for us.. Our bill was $481, didn't make the most of the 5 cards to $500 coz they didn't ask if we want to order anything else before the kitchen closed.. so a saving of $120 for us..

    • Should have given a 19 buck tip to save 11 bucks

      • A better alternative is to ask them if they sell any gift card. That's what I did with TGI Friday on both occasions, to take the balance above $200 and $300 respectively and ended up saving more.

      • I wasn't thinking, i gave the waitress $20 cash tip instead.. :/

  • Anyone tried this online with Superdry? There's only one store in Sydney

  • Has anyone tried the gold leaf Chinese restaurant in Melbourne?

    • Just went there (Springvale), only allowed max of 3 split payments per bill.

      • did u get a confirmation email?

        • Yes

        • @feihong: Have you been to the steamboat branch in Docklands?

        • @99altezza: I have been there but not with the current AMEX offer. However, comments from another forum seemed to have confirmed that you will get AMEX cashback too for the Gold Leaf steamboat.

  • maximum enrolments reached

  • Anyone knows if Computer Alliance or Umart allow separate cards payment ?

  • Anyone know if i can shop at Victoria Secret's outlet store at DFO??
