          You get issued uniforms and field gear but you are expected to maintain it. You get paid an annual allowance to pay for upkeep. This means that if something wears out or you need a different size etc you need to buy it out of your allowance. The forces have actual clothing stores on base but as with everything else there are people making or selling extra stuff that maube makes life a bit easier. Field gear in particular is very customisable and there will be loads of 'old soldiers' getting around with mods to their webbing or wearing non-issue' danner boots etc. Ages ago the old guys used to have Gerber or Leatherman Mini Tools in their webbing etc.

      The F-111 should be cheap given the likelihood of you contracting cancer maintaining it.
