  I would like to get this for a baby who has just turned 1. What size will be generally appropriate? Assuming I don't have access to this baby to do a measurement :-)
  I have been told always to get a bit bigger if unsure. Thanks.

    A size 1 should do it. Bonds baby things are massive, so I'd only buy a 0 in that brand but generally the size corresponds to the age of the child :-)

        I should add, the size rule starts at 1! All the 0 sizes (0000, 000, 00 and 0) are generally for under 1.
