One Big Switch- HCF Health Insurance Cover- Now with Additional JB Hi-Fi Voucher $100

100

A quick post. In addition to the Cash Back on HCF Health Insurance cover, there is now a JB Hi-FI voucher for $100. Some new HCF covers have also been added.

† Offer is for switchers only and excludes existing HCF customers. If you take the special offer, One Big Switch will send you half the cash back after 3 months, and half the value after 13 months. If you take up the offer and you are not already a member of One Big Switch, you will become a member upon taking up the offer. HCF will recognise waiting periods you've already served with your current fund and waive the usual 2 & 6 month waiting periods on extras. Some longer waiting periods and conditions apply. Any benefit limits used with your current fund will apply to your new HCF policy.

^ To be eligible for the JB Hi-Fi voucher, you must be a One Big Switch member who is not an existing HCF customer and you must take up a new Hospital & Extras package via the One Big Switch website or hotline between 8am 20 June 2016 and midnight Thursday 30 June 2016. The voucher will be sent by One Big Switch after you have been a HCF member for 30 days, to the email address you used to join HCF

Remember to check other deals, One Big Switch is a CORPORATION they make loads of cash from this thing.

    • Uncle Rupert has a vested interest in it as well - avoid!!!

  • "In addition to the Cash Back on HCF Health Insurance cover"

What exactly is the cash back offer?

Is it same as this post from April? https://www.onebigswitch.com.au/news/2016/04/01/people-power…
Says "Ends midnight Friday 29 April 2016" but I can't find anything else on the site regarding the cash back, at least not without joining.

  • Hmm, it's slightly different.

    $300 cashback for families & couples plus a $100 JB Hi-Fi voucher
$200 cashback for single parent families plus a $100 JB Hi-Fi voucher
$100 cashback for singles plus a $100 JB Hi-Fi voucher

I'm pretty certain it was families $400 cashback and $200 cashback for singles previously?

    Cheers. Yes previous campaign:
"For 4 weeks only, policyholders who join at onebigswitch.com.au and take out a new hospital & extras cover with HCF will get:
•$400 cashback for families, couples, and single parent families, or
•$200 cashback for singles (see appendix for Terms & Conditions*)"

Though I did a bit more digging and OBS sound a bit dodgy, might avoid and see what I can get by going direct.

Giving the full story on One Big Switch
Seven West media and News Corp have a commercial interest in One Big Switch. But is this reported transparently enough?"

  • how is the cashback paid? gift card? egift? direct deposit?
