        • What about 6 x $0.01? ;)

        • @illumination:

Hahaha good one. But no think they've learnt their lesson last time an Ozbargain member pulled a fast one on them.

        • @nightelves: Actually where'd you hear about the 2k bonus points after 6 transactions thing??

        • +2

          @illumination:

They sent a letter offering 2k points if I made 6 eligible transactions.

        • +2

          I think it looks good.
As per a comment on VFF:

'Just called NAB. Despite having only cut up my old NAB card a few weeks ago after pocketing 60000 pts I have been approved and my cards dispatched for this 75000 bonus offer. Agent on phone confirmed I am eligible for the bonus. Thanks NAB.'

  • BTW I signed up and got approved but they put me on cheaper credit card with $95 manual fee and you get extra 10k on top of 75k, thanks so much for showing me this deal.

    • They put me on the rewards card too (not premium), the person said still the same 75k points, $95 annual fee. Lucky you!

      • I would say most people would be getting this offer for the 75K points and then closing. So only paying $95 for the bonus is amazing value even if you only get the lower model card.

    • +1

How did you get extra 10K on top ?

    • Absolutely dreaming if you think your getting an extra 10k……

      • 75000 points for spending $1500 in first 3 months and 10k for doing 6 everyday purchases

  • I've applied, been approved and have my cards. Just called them (13 22 65) to confirm I will get 75,000 points and they said yes as long as I meet the criteria (spend $1500 in 3 months of card issue). I asked if the call was recorded to which they said yes and I got the agents name (first only). I then repeated to them that I would get the 75,000 points if I met their criteria and it was confirmed. I now (hopefully) have a recording I can get them to refer to (with time & date) should they not deliver :) (or it could all back fire!)

I got my cards today (Velocity Platinum, not rewards like others), nothing mentioning what the rewards points are, called NAB, and was advised that it was 20k, has always been 20k, and unless I have a targeted email for 75k points, that I'd have to dispute it in 3 months once the points have been provided. Nothing about the bonus 10k points either.

      • Did you use the link provided on this thread? If so, you should show them the link with screen shot. Nowhere does it say its targeted or limited to certain customers. It's also a public link with no special login.

        • +1

I ended up going into a branch to activate my cards and called rewards team whilst in there, they confirmed the 75k points offer was active on my account. :-)

      • I think this will be the result for most…I was explicitly told when I rang that I would not be eligible for the 75k, only the 20k.

Received the NAB letter and will get the card next week at my local NAB branch.

Called NAB today - initial customer service rep said that it didn't appear to show the sign-on bonus/promotion on my account but after being forwarded to the rewards? or credit card section, NAB rep confirmed 75,000 promotion was on my account and I would just need to ensure the $1500 spend in the first 3 months.

hope this helps someone, I also just signed from the Ozbargain link

    • Received the first paper bill from NAB today, shows a bit over 75,000 velocity points earned.

Haven't received the points in my Velocity account yet, but I'm assuming they will come through soon, or soon after I pay the bill.

The Velocity homepage today shows the same promotion (expiry still the same date - apply by 2nd October 2016), but perhaps this confirms that the promotion is available to all now (i.e. not targeted).

  • Any idea if payslips are required to be supplied for NAB cards? I only just started a new job < 1 month, should I wait a while longer? Don't want to be declined

    • +1

      I wasn't asked for one.

      • Me too, but I imagine it varies for everyone. I would assume it's somewhat related to what your credit file currently looks like, i.e. if you have a lot of activity then you have a "rep", therefore less likely to be asked for payslip.

    • they asked me for mine

  • +6

looks like its open to the public now for those that are worried about signing up and not getting the points through the targeted link

here is the new link on the nab website for the offer

    • Thanks. Submitted and approved (pending possible re-contact)…was a QFF card holder prior to this, so maybe will just get the cards in the mail :)

  • Applied for this card late Saturday arvo, called up Monday lunchtime, sent in verification of income docs straight after - cards arrived today.

    Thanks OP!

  • +2

For those that signed up and met spend, check Velocity. My 75000 credited 30 July.

  • Has anyone been informed of a minimum income for this card? Wondering if 35k will suffice.

  • +2

Got he 75k points in my velocity account dated 30/07.
    Happy chappy here!

    • Same here!

      • when did you guys applied?

        • The day of this post, 24/06

  • I currently have a NAB veolicity branded card that is no longer listed on their site. It's not a premium card.

Would I need to cancel it first, wait a few days then apply for this? Or can I hold both? This is my only Visa credit card so I'm reluctant to cancel and be w/o one for a week or two.

  • Applied last weekend, got a call today to advise I've been approved for the non-premium card with only 10K points. They wouldn't offer me 75K points for the rewards card so I cancelled my application.
Back to earning QFF points for me.

  • does anyone received their 75,000 points?

    • Yes - read above

  • Can we access Sydney Amex lounge on this card ?

    • Not a benefit of the NAB card….sorry

  • FYI this is now extended to October 2 according to the link.

  • Card activated 8/8 with $1500 spend on that day

75,000 bonus points rewarded on 20/8.

I might try and get the additional 10,000 ? Does anyone have a link to the velocity advert ?

    • That's freaking quick. What's this 10,000 points?

  • 75000 bonus points also credited on 20/8. Signed up mid July and hit $1500 spend after 1st statement was issued (2nd statement yet to hit).

edit: not associated with NAB at all. Accidental slip!

    • Yep similar dates for me. Going to sign up the wife now.

  • Got mine a week after $ 1500 spend. Super fast…

  • Applied for the Platinum card via the promotional link, but got a regular rewards card in the mail. Called up, and they've told me I only get 10k points. I've put through a complaint to either get the full 75k or my money back on the annual fee — not good enough, NAB! Can't bait and switch customers like that.

If they've done the same to you, make sure you call up and check that the promotional campaign is registered against your account. Looks like some people in the same situation are getting the points, while others aren't.

    • +1

Thankfully (?) they called me to advise of this.

      • Thanks muncan, that's helpful to know as I'm following this up. I never got a phone call - basically, I wasn't told anything!

I even called them a few weeks after receiving the card to make sure that my Frequent Flyer number was correct. I mentioned that I'd applied via the 75k bonus points promotion during the call. Again, they didn't say anything about me not receiving the offer.

Only found out that this was a problem when I called up just now to specfically see if the campaign was applied to my account, having seen some of the experiences that other people in this thread have had.

  • When do they charge the annual fee?

    • Straight away pretty much

  • is this card eligible for AMEX promotional offers?

    • yes

  • Hmm so by now I think most of us have got the points… anyone tried cancelling the card and then applying again?

    • Look over in the AFF forums….yes….I haven't and wont.

  • Will the 1500$ spend accumulate Velocity points .. or only 75000 points

  • +1

I haven't received points .. but I got only one statement.. I will wait for one more statement

    • I have received my points yesterday

  • +1

Still waiting on my points - has been 2 months

    • When did you meet the minimum spend?

      • more than a month ago

        • +1

Received my bonus points today. Check your account.

        • my partner received her bonus points on 1/10 too. Only met the minimum spend on her card about a week ago - came through seperately to the normal monthly points sweep - still waiting on the points for the $1500 spend.

I'd call NAB if you havent got them after 2months.. thats odd.

        • @tizey: Got them on the weekend like everyone else! They must be in batches. Thanks everyone.

  • Just got my points today (3/10) in my Velocity FF Global Wallet after meeting the minimum spend last week.
Unfortunately, I can't use it to upgrade my existing flight, so I'll keep them for my next trip.

  • Got a nice little NAB Amex spend offer of a $20 rebate with Telstra for a $20 spend (and same with Optus!).
It was pre-activated with my new cards, so targeted to new card holders! Thanks NAB and Amex

  • In case anyone is still reading this and find this of use, I got my points paid out relatively quickly then proceeded to cancel the account. To keep me, NAB offered me no annual fee for life. Also credited me a recent interest charge to boot!

    • Damn how did you get that? Do you have any other products with NAB? Which card was it with? The $150 a year ?

      • Just called up to cancel and when asked why, I told them I didn't like the annual fee. Yes, the one associated with this deal, $149 per annum. I guess the interest was paid back because I was adamant I was going and that was a way to keep me on. Just got to be prepared to leave I guess.
