      • I just got mine today, from the first look it looks like iPhone, battery is built in with no cover to open. Nothing in the manual either.

    • Yep they only price match at$449 but they were happy to split the payment so I could double up on the amex offer.

Came down to $389 after using two Amex cards

  • +1

I am travelling overseas on Friday, if I order today, when could I receive it? I live in Sydney

    • +1

      You should get them Wednesday/Thursday

  • The concern I have with these is the rechargeable battery, can it be replaced? It is the issue I have with the Bose QC20 earbud version, I don't want to pay all that money and then be left with no noise cancellation when the batteries won't charge anymore.

    • These rechargeable batteries should last up to 1000 charges. Let say if you listen to 10 hours of music a day and it should last up to 2000 days.

      • "average", I could get batteries that die a lot earlier than that. It still sticks in my craw; with Apple products you can get the internal batteries changed over for a reasonable price, I just wish Bose would do something similar. For people who are interested Bose is also updating the QC20 to a blue tooth QC 30 out in September.

  • Anyone tried price match at Bose store Sydney?

    • Yes, I just purchased from Bose Sydney. They price matched $449 and then they allowed me to use 4 Amex cards. Great price by OP though. Would have definitely purchased from OP if there was no Amex deal.

  • +5

the Bose Store St Kilda will price match

    • Will the amex offer work at Premium Sound, St Kilda?

  • +1

Anyone had any luck price matching at Bose Store Perth (Subiaco)

    • would love to know too!

      • +1

yes they price matched to 449, then I used 2 amex cards to pay for it :)

the guys said a few people came before me to grab them using 4 cards, so they are well aware of this!

  • Any one had any luck price matching in Brisbane stores. Want to use Amex deal.

  • I've been keeping an eye out for these

    http://premiumsound.com.au/shop/headphones/bose-soundsport-w…

Any idea when these will be back in stock, and any more good deals on them?

    • Bose have sold out worldwide of the Black Soundsport unfortunately. Last I heard more stock is coming in August…

I have the Aqua colour available, but are also selling fast.

    • I picked up the aqua ones the other day very nice worth every penny

    • Check eBay. Several retailers have the black one in stock. No deals though.

  • Oh shoot, I really wanted a pair in Black. Wld you be able to do a deal for me for the Aquas, OzB style ? :)

    • Would love to, but $225 delivered is the best I can offer! :)

      • Hi Op

I can't wait around for the release of the qc30 bt version sept.

Can you apply the code to the qc20?

        • +3

Sorry mate, but $304 would put them under cost for me. $329 with delivery is still a pretty good deal. If you come instore and pick up, i can come down to $320. Thanks!

  • Doh ! Thanks for trying anyway

It's unfortunate that Bose have switched to a rechargeable battery rather than using an AAA battery. I use rechargeable AAA batteries with mu QC25. If I run out of battery power during a flight, I won't be able to use the noise canceling at all? With the QC25, I can just swap the battery.

    • +2

20 Hours of battery life with Bluetooth + noise cancelling, 40 hours of Noise cancelling using a cable. Noise cancelling doesn't work while charging via, and i'm not sure exactly how long it takes to charge. If it went flat during a flight, it's rechargeable via usb (lots of planes have usb ports these days).

    • +2

Battery life is really good, haven't been in a situation where I was going to run out of charge yet in the past ~2 weeks I've had them. You can also charge these via a standard power bank now, much more seamless than carrying a AAA battery around.

  • Just bought one.

  • god, i want these but am going away tomorrow

    • +2

In Melbourne? Im open til 5

      • Brisbane

        • I saw these at duty free for $479 lol.

At Auckland airport they were $417NZD which was a good price

        • @rheyt: $417 at auckland airport?! I might get one next week:P

      • too late for me :( Will have to make do with the QC25s

  • +2

Can I just say I love these headphones. I just came back from NZ and used this little adaptor for total wire free solution using inflight entertainment system. Best $25USD I ever spent. https://thebtunes.com/products/tiny-aptx-low-latency-bluetoo…

    • +1

Oh, This is something I never considered having for the BlueTooth to need an adapter… I use the QC25's so the airline adapter is just the norm…

  • +1

Such a shame Officeworks no longer stock Bose - could have saved a further 5%

  • Do these headphones work with any device (Android/Apple/Windows), or just with Apple devices?

    • Any device mate

      • Thanks, rheyt. I feel like pulling the trigger.

        • Still lots of stock available, but selling quickly so not sure if they will all last till the end of the month.

        • @disrupt3r: Thanks, OP. If I decide to buy them I'll probably do it before the end of this weekend.

        • @disrupt3r: my bad OP. Forgot to mention which colour i wanted to go with.

          Going with the black. Thanks.

          Email sent.

  • Good price. Just placed an order.

  • So the discount using multiple Amex will only work in store?

  • How much is the QC30 due in September?

  • +1

Glad i held out instead of buying the qc25 for $319.20 at microsoft store.

With TRS $385 or so brings it closer the qc25 price.

  • +1

This sexy thing will be new routine in OZB. I guess the lowest price in the future will be around $400 (with ebay 10%, 20% code etc…). $424 is still very good. Cheaper than amazon US price (AU$470) . Although it is made in China, guess how much does it cost in China? RMB2888 which equals to AU $590 !!!!!

  • Grabbed a pair, cant wait for them to arrive!

  • +1

The only thing stops me from buying this is lack of NC control. You can not turn the NC off like in QC20. QC 30 is even better, it allows you to control the level of NC in software. I will wait for QC30.

    • +1

Are you sure the QC30 can turn off NC?

      Edit: The answer is yes.

controllable noise cancellation — puts you in charge of how much of the world you shut out. From needing awareness on a busy sidewalk, to complete isolation for work, to taking a call from home in a crowded cafe — the QC30 lets owners choose what they hear. Turn its noise cancellation up or down, not on or off, and it adapts to the level you set without changing your music volume. To hear every note from your favorite tracks and artists, the QC30 uses a new EQ customized for its size and design. With distractions on mute, a dime-size enclosure never sounded better.

      Source

Going to buy the Bose QC30 for sure.

    • If the battery dies, nc turns off :)

      • Yes, that's true. but the volume and sound quality also reduce without power. NC cause ear pressure, vacuum feeling, and poor soundstage performance which to many people is not a pleasant experience. (that's why you should try that in the bose store first before you buy). You would probably prefer to turn the NC off whenever NC is unnecessary such as in a quiet enviorment. Besides, it is dangerous to isolate yourself when you are walking in the street or doing some sort of work that requires awareness of the enviorment. I would say without the NC on/off function, the QC35 can not be an all-around headphone.

        • In particular, you can't use the QC35 Bluetooth without NC, which is a bit sad.

  • Can I wear this while on the bed? I mean I always watch a movie before going to sleep lying down on the pillow, will it be comfortable ?

    • I wouldn't take the risk. I destroyed 6 pairs of the $30 noise cancelling headphones you can buy from Officeworks doing that (LOL) - you'd think after the first few I wouldn't keep losing the receipts.. sigh.

They are certainly wearable when in bed. My husband snores so I often wear industrial orange ear muffs from Bunnings in bed when I am too lazy to get up and go to the lounge to escape.

  • +1

Don't know if I need one or want one ….

    • This is ozbargain. You buy it first. Then think about possible uses later.

For the record bought this for my upcoming overseas trip.

      • -1

Wrong mate. Buy it only when you need it, not the other way round. That way, you save plenty.

        • +4

^ someone retract this guy's ozbargain membership! :P

        • ^Mate^ I should get a new badge called "Smart-Shopper"!

  • Cheapest price atm. Thanks OP. Just bought a pair :)

  • QC20: https://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msaus/en_AU/pdp/Bose-QuietComfort-20-Acoustic-Noise-Cancelling-Headphones-Black/productID.326692600?tduid=(1d3ee220968a9d8a678ab7efd6267517)(217465)(2252468)(VbYRM9SLfXVpznh3RYT6bTOWUkSSmhXAXQPZVY0)()

  • My daughter has the corded variety with regular batteries and the ear cuffs always fall off, and it's extremely difficult to get them back on. Just crazy for $450 headphones.

Just wanted to know if this model also has the falling off ear cuff problem, thanks!!

    • Never heard of that issue before, your daughter should return hers and get a replacement

  • @disrupt3r: I collected one last week week for449 + 3% Amex, any chance of matching this price drop?

    • Hey mate, come in store and see us.

  • With some Bluetooth earphones I notice sound lag especially while watching movies. Do these Bose have the same problem?

  • Bose Chermside (QLD) refuses to lower the price on QC35. Lowest they will go on QC25 is $348. Sigh.

    • You can get QC25 for $319 from microsoftstore at the moment.

      • yea but I would need to buy today to claim TRS

        • Try Myer to price match microsoftstore.

        • +1

@maxdba: aha i called myer and they will price match for qc25. Luckily i have 3 myer gift cards lying around. Going to pick them up now

  • Just bought these after doing very little research (which is out of character for me)….hope I made the right choice! (I will blame all of you otherwise) :)

    • I did the usual youtube research. but never tried them out in person.

going by most if not all the reviewers rated it highly for noise cancelling. which is what I need these for. these being wireless unlike the qc25 is the welcome bonus.

as for the sound quality according to the reviews plenty can beat it but since im no audiophile these will likely suffice.

    • Just received mine today. Didnt have much time to play with it but the time i did get to use it.

Things i liked. Pairing it to my mobile phone. Dead easy.

Sound quality is great with ANC on. Less so when off. Also sound seems louder when wired up.

Amazed how much ambient noise it shuts out just by having them on your ears not powered on.

Did not get to test ANC much as the area my apartment is in is fairly quiet. So my morning commute to work will really be the litmus test.

So livid2. Did you receive yours yet? If so. Who will you blame first for this impulse buy? 😁

  • Great Price. I managed to pick up a set of these last week

Bose pricematched JB Hi Fi at $449.
Used 4xAMEX cards for $30 off per $100 spend. (T&C's state refunds wont be given on secondary cards, however I now have refunds from all 4)
    $449-$120 = $329
    TRS in a month = $296.10

    • +1

No it's $288.18, the custom doesn't see the $120 you got back! :D

    • Oh the refund works on secondary card as well?!

      • Yes as long as your cards' number is unique, then you can register each card separately for the AMEX offers. NAB and ANZ both issue different card numbers for each card for example.

        • Cool thanks however going by n1ck purchase, I wouldn't think JB HiFi is participating Amex $30 refund? Edit: never mind read the wrong way. All good.

  • If you've got existing Bose QCs that are damaged - e.g. headband fraying - go in to your local Bose store and enquire as they may offer you a tradeup. I traded in my 2 year old QC15s at Bose Pitt St Sydney for QC35s at $285. (plus the $30 Amex deal!)

  • +2

Just curious, why are people price matching or even paying more? Why not just buy from OP?

    • Because of AMEX deals, discounted gift cards, etc. Otherwise everyone will be more than happy to buy from OP!!

      • Oh, ok. Just thought I was as missing something.

    • Because the best possible price is Bose price match to $449, then use 4 AMEX cards to -$120, then add in TRS and total comes down to $288.

    • Buy from the Bose store and get a 21 days trial.

  • Big improvement over the QC20?

    • The sound is definitely a lot richer than the QC20, and it's wireless. Really depends what you value more: portability or sound quality/wireless functionality.

  • Not sure why anyone would want 4 Amex cards with the fees they want to use them most places, one is enough.

    • +1

you only pay a fee when you use it…
if people use them for purposes where there are promotions, cash-backs, rebates, or points, then why wouldn't they want to have them…

  • Ordered one. Thanks.

    Hi Guys,

I was looking to do a trade up to this but bose has told me the purchase has to be after 1st feb

Anyone willing to share a receipt of QC 25's purchased after 1st feb ?

    TIA

  • +1

Hey Op, does the BOSE 21 Day Excitement Guarantee apply to this purchase? Seeing you are a listed seller on the Bose webpage.

  • Hey Op, when does deal finish?

  • Picked up qc 25 in a rush yesterday and wore them on my overnight flight. The noise cancelling is absolute heaven, and they are extremely comfortable.. much more so than my beyerdynamics. My only gripe is that the cord detaches VERY easily, which is pretty annoying. The qc35, being wireless, would solve this problem at the cost of having a non-removable battery. I'd go for the 35 if I had the money.

    • You could possibly do a trade-in for QC35 at bose if they allow so.
