I originally posted this deal with a link to I Want That Flight, but if booked directly with Etihad you can use the promo code to get an cheaper price (thanks to comment by @mohammedm)

This is exceptionally cheap. These flights are usually $,1600 to $2,000.
These prices are available for flying during October and November 2016 (I tried a few dates during those months).
Eg BNE-JNB 13 October 2016, return JNB-BNE 13 November 2016: $943.

A moment's pain for a - week's? pleasure. If you want to go somewhere enough then travel time shouldn't be an issue.

  • Travel period? Sample dates? Thanks

    • Travel dates are October and November as per original post. I've added an example date 13 October returning 13 November.

Just booked Melbourne - Frankfurt return (Sept - Oct) for $1,079!!!!

  • It seems all Sydney to J-Berg flights at $954 price point. Cheapest I can see is $559 each way without including additional charges… Tried the 13th of each month then slid along looking at other dates. Hope others have better luck!

Did you enter the promo code on the search page?

      • Yeah HOLIDAY20. Otherwise I think the lowest deal is around $650 one way without the code

Just checked it again. $467 there, $461 back, total $930. Screenshot

        • @Dacs: OK it's back again. Strange it didn't show before when I checked!

  • Shame these aren't in the school holidays - good deal, esp. if you can fly A380 and 787.

  • Have tried accessing this promo but no luck, how do I get into the right booking page and what promo code do I use

    • Looks like the code is no longer working. Sorry you missed the boat…er…plane.
