This is so cheap, I grabbed one of the 1440p Dell's a week or so ago for $499, beautiful monitors!

    • +10

mannnnnn I'm out of neg vote for the day… someone please do me a favor and neg this guy for me.

      • -4

GL getting one people buy 10 of these and sell them on ebay for more.

  • -2
    • That listing has been up for months.

      • -2

because they do it for months.

  • +2

Don't take this the wrong way but prolly sold out five mins after post. Limited quantity on outlet.

    • Definitely not sold out, purchasing one right now 45 mins after it was posted.

      • Amazing, they must have a lot of excess stock for this model! Other outlet posts I have seen go in the space of minutes. Not saying OP was a limited quantity (<10) post just that outlet is notorious for not updating stock levels or putting a figure on the quantity remaining.

Thought after 500 clicks that the deal would be gone… Maybe a lot of people checking out other offers not interested in the monitor (or they have hundreds of UHD monitors that they are clearing for some odd reason)!

        • Yeah it's a damn shame that they don't update stock levels in real-time. The sales people appear to have to contact another division to get stock levels.

Ah well, my monitor is ordered and pair for ^_^

          Gimme dat 4k goodness

        • @Kugz: Yeah, that's really annoying. I have been waiting for the rep to check their stock level for almost half an hour and I still haven't got a result, maybe it's because there are too many people requesting for stock that cause chaos.

        • @Alucardology:

My coworker and I got responses within 15 minutes, around the same time - that's strange that it's taking so long!

        • @Kugz:

The rep got back to me right after I post that comment to confirm my order. I'm so happy to grab this 4K monitor to replace my all old U2414M.

        • @Alucardology:

Yeah I'm replacing my old ASUS 24" monitor that's dying :)

  • This might be a silly question, but how do you actually purchase it from the link provided?

    • +3

There is an option to talk to someone in the Live Chat. Click it, continue onto Sales and bring the DFO Bundle number with you (left column on the product you're after).

After you connect to a salesperson, provide them the bundle reference number and they'll check stock status. If it is in stock, they'll e-mail you a quote and stuff to sort out payment etc.

      • Champion - thx!

It is rare to see 27" 4K monitor at this price. The other time I saw a better deal was LG 27MU67 $503.20 at Warehouse1 EOFY clearance.

  • Is this better than the 2715H?

    • +1

      If you're mac user, absolutely.

      • Yeah devo, 4k specs. I got the 1440p for 560 from the futuonline deal. Haven't received it yet but many have reported back light bleeding. Devo.

Anyone know how futu are with returns?

        • +1

Yep backlight bleed occurs on the IPS panel - I bought 2 from Futu and both have it.

One of the monitors has about 2 dead pixels also but overall isn't too much of an issue.

        • I returned my 2715H to Futu online last week because it kept turning off randomly. I'm still waiting for the refund but they tell me I will get it after it's processed/checked for the fault. Hopefully there's no dramas but it's disappointing!!

        • Further update on Futuonline. They still haven't refunded my money and they received the return 7 days ago. Hopeless, big mistake buying from them but it did look like a good deal.
A lesson to be learned from OzBargain, the deal is not always as good as it looks!

        • @JTTheMan:

Yeah…i still haven't even received mine yet, wanted to start a paypal dispute but that function is gone now.

  • What about the 29" going for 450 or so?

    • +2

      It's ultrawide (ew) and only 2560 x 1080? But if that's your jam it's a good price.

      • Ah thanks.

Great deal for the 27" though, I must've just missed out. Makes the futu 560 one seem pretty bad.

  • +3

Just checked and it is now sold out (website still shows 29 available)

    • Thanks! I've expired the deal!

    • How do you see how many is available?

      • Live chat with them is the only way.

      • On the link provided at the top of this page. For each monitor listed, there is a column showing the number available.

  • +1

    lol so fast…

  • Killer deal! But I wonder if using this one monitor is better than having two 24" LCDs at 3840x1080 combined. I physically have more screen real estate to look at

  • +2

just spent 20min on chat to be told they were sold out.

  • damn that was quick. i ordered one as soon as i saw this post and it will be delivered on the 30th of this month!

    • Nice work!

  • +1

    Haha,

"It was pleasure assisting you Our Chat team strives to provide the very best levels of customer service. Thank you for choosing Dell Sales Chat , have a wonderful time Smile
you are lucky you got this unit, others are still on hold but no more stock available."

  • Anyone got the screeshot of the page before it went out of stock?
    Thanks

  • I'm still waiting for my phone call??? I jumped on this straight away and the guy said it would take an hour for inventory to confirm availability yet still no phone call or email lol.

    • Still waiting also, not impressed that I was on live chat within 10 minutes of the deal being posted and was told I'd be called back within 2 hours…

      • I emailed my customer service rep and he never replied. I'm ringing dell to complain because I was quite simply lied to.

        • I just got a phone call then from my rep and completed the order, so fingers crossed for you.

        • +3

@chalmo: The rep emailed telling me no stock I told him I'm calling to Dell to complain. He called me telling me he got his hands on one for me lol so I paid for it. I'm so excited my first 4k screen haha

  • Damn, saw this at work but misread and thought it was the model from the previous $499 deal.

  • I find USB ports on the monitor are hard to reach when they're on the bottom.

The two on the side I prefer on the right.

Anyone know of a 24" monitor at 1440p or 1600p?

    • I have a Dell UltraSharp U2412M and it's great.

      • I have a U2413. It's great also. But I'm going to get a GTX1070, and it's wasted on a 1080p screen. I can handle better resolutions than that, but I don't want a 27" monitor to get 1440p because my desk isn't big enough for it.

        • It's 1920x1200 not 1080 but it hasn't got a high refresh rate for gaming. For some reason manufacturers don't like producing high resolution desktop screens :(

Had a look on Google and although I couldn't find a 1440p 24" screen people are recommending the Acer G257HU. It's 25" and 2560x1440 resolution. The Amazon recommended alternatives for that model are the Dell UltraSharp U2515H & ASUS PB258Q which are the same resolution and size.

Another alternative is to stick with the 1080p resolution and try for a high refresh rate screen with GSYNC. It would be amazingly smooth on your card :) Here is a new screen ASUS just brought to market (prob be $$$$) http://www.144hzmonitors.com/monitors/asus-rog-swift-pg258q-… but if you aim for a 144hz GSYNC 1080p screen you should be easily able to push high frame rates to take advantage of the smoothness.

        • @Agret: The difference isn't big between 1200p and 1080p. The 1070 can handle more than that.

          Thanks for trying anyway.

          Are 144hz monitors TN only?

        • @lostn: no but to get a 144hz IPS is pretty new. I have the 27" acer predator which I got on an ebay sale for just a bit over $1000 and it's a 27" IPS with 144hz, gsync and ulmb.

  • +1

Just bought 2 of these for work at $802 direct from dell (3 year warranty tho)

  • Got one back in March; great monitor. Use it for photo editing mainly. Photoshop menus don't scale; bit of a pain to use. LR is fine. Once one goes 4k, everything less than looks VGA…

    • +2
      • Thanks heaps man, now I can ditch the lupe…

      • +1

Doing it the manifest way makes the UI bigger yes but it actually scale sup the entire program leaving your images looking pixelated. Try this method:

Right click on "This PC" icon
        Click properties,
Select Advanced System Settings or Advanced Tab (Based on your OS)
Click on the "Environment Variables…" button.
Click New… button on System Variables section, You can also set this in User Variables section, if you would like to keep the change limited to current logged in user.
In the "New system variable" dialog, enter UI_SCALE_FACTOR in variable name field
Enter 1.25 in the Variable value field
        Click OK

  • Awesome !

Just secured one through the Dell chat around 9:54an (WST)

  • 2 back available, just got one!
