Asus X555LA Notebook £239.88 (~AU $418) Delivered @ Amazon UK (15.6", i3-4005, 4GB RAM, 1TB HDD)

350

EDIT: Just looked at a tesco, and saveonlaptops listing and don't think it's FHD (didn't read amazon properly). I'm really sorry, please cancel your orders if you have ordered already. Still a decent laptop for the price, but FHD would've been great.

Credit to HUKD - i3 and a 1080p screen for this price looks good. VAT is removed at checkout to bring the final price down.

    I3 is substantially weak compared to i5 & i7.

      Just saying.
Its better value to pay a little more and get i5.

2.3kg ouch.. But otherwise great specs for price

  • +7

Screen is 768p on the i3 and i5 models, only the i7 model is 1080p.

      Thanks, now the price sucks

    • What? Not fhd then

  • So is this a reasonable price for the specs, despite no HD?

    • Price is still okay, but it's not a bargain. You're probably better off waiting for another eBay 20% off sale to get something similar from futu online.

the CPU was launched in Q32013, 4th gen intel i3. The new 7th Gen i3 is coming out in a couple more months time and current models have the 6th gen chip. Performance wise not that big a performance gap but the processor is almost obsolete now.

    lol ASUS

ASUS Ranks as the 3rd most reliable laptop brand behind Apple and Dell. Dell is only ahead on service (not reliability). ASUS…. Not to be confused with Acer.

I'll bet you this $418 Asus will outlast a $418 macbook.

I remember selling the i5 version of this at JB…it had a matte screen from memory. Very chunky, plasticy finish. Still a decent buy considering what $400 gets you here from a major chain.

  • Was only a good deal if 1080P …now its just blah.
