Can you explain this a bit better. What do you need to do to get the discount?

    • Sorry am on mobile. I selected the amount of recharges I wanted first. The first discount, which is the advertised 30% off appeared before I selected to Pay Now. Once I clicked that to pay before selecting the method, it took a bit of time to process all the vouchers and another discount appeared.

      • Did you scan everyday rewards card at any stage?

        • After the discounts were already applied.

  • +1 Good Hack OP!
First thing that came to mind when I clicked on the thumbnail https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZxX3-rJoNI

    • Hahaha, cheers mate!

  • +2

what is a Wow connect4 offer ? I see on catalogue that there is a promotion of 30% off on this recharge.

  • PLEASE NOTE: if you have a $30 starter pack you only get 8GB with the $45 (worth) credit

  • Looks like it's an additional 30% off on top of the first 30% off.

    $45 * 0.7 = $31.50
    $31.50 * 0.7 = $22.05

    • Yea the OP says it in the description..

however in this deal the 30% off is applied twice.

  • can these vouchers be stacked - ie if i buy 6, can i add all 6 vouchers to my account in 1 go?

Would you get an additional 10% off if you used your everyday rewards card as well?

    • Yes but not really beneficial. With a $2 sim pack one of these recharges gets you 16GB BUT only for the first month then they give you just 8gb

    • Not sure if stacks but I scanned my rewards card after the discounts and no other discounts appeared.

    • Same question here, can I recharge for multiple month?

      • +1

Yeah I'm interested to know this as well. Expiry is in June 2017 which I'm leaning towards yes.

        • I checked with them online with Woolworths mobile chat and no they can't be stacked, even if bought in person at store.

"Mary-Anne: unfortunately, the start date of any recharge is at the time you action the recharge request, so if you have multiple recharge, then all those will expire together within 30 days"

"Todd: Thought it may have been like the old days and the voucher has an expiry date it must be used by and you enter the voucher code on phone to have credit applied. But it's not, thanks anyways"

        • @tdizzle:

They said that with the prepaid starter packs and the expiry ended up being End of December next year. Wouldn't trust what their online chat says. Alot of people have been getting mixed messages about especially with sim activation and stuff.

But happy to be proved wrong.

          @nightelves:
From the FAQ on their website:

What is the validity period of a Pre-paid mobile recharge voucher?
Recharge vouchers must be applied by the expiration date printed on the voucher.

From a chat window with their support:

Me: If I buy 3 of them today, and they have an expiry date of December, can I use 1 per month for the next 3 months. Or will they all expire 30 days from today?

Agent: No credit expires 6 months from when you buy then unless you apply them to your mobile which then has an expiry dat of 30 days

Me: ok - so I can buy up to 6 months of recharges at 1 time, and then use them over the next 6 months.?

          Agent: If you want

As others here say, inconsistent answers. But looks like we can load up on multiple recharges and use them for a while.

        • @solar:

          I thought so. Cheers

Probably gonna be a short lived price so get in quick everyone!

  • -1

Looks like a price error to me.

  • Great deal! Can't decide whether to jump on this or hold out for another $1 offer though… sigh… I've been thoroughly spoilt by past deals!

  • +2

Wait if I'm hearing this correctly you can buy a $2 sim then just buy stacks of $45 recharge and you get them for $22.05 each?

  • Could someone confirm with me - if I buy the starter sim and $45 recharge - but only recharge with the $30 recharge the next month - the data WON'T rollover?

  • I wonder how many recharge you can buy at once? Time to stack up vouchers for a whole year like the last round few years back!!

  • would this work for the $30 recharge as well?

  • +1

I'm interested to know too, if I can buy vouchers right up till June 2017. then it's worth to switch as 8Gb is worth the price. But need someone to confirm this b4 switching over.

  • +1

    Unlimited call/ text with 8gb for $22.02?

    Wow
I am on Vaya and ready to go woollies .

Do I need to buy starter pack and then these recharges to stay connected for next 11 months or so till June 2017?
    Please confirm details guys.
Thanks OP as nice deal 👍

Just tried it out at around 4.30pm http://i.imgur.com/oMVz3oK.jpg

    • So did these show an expiry period? i'm tempted to do this also. saves me from having to port in and out which is a pain with Vodafail.

      • Just bought two (22.05 each) - they expire on the 1/08/2017 :)

      • yup, mines shows expiry june 2017

  • Would this offer work on $30 recharge as well?

  • +3

How do people find out about these things? Do you just go around scanning things with EDR card?

    • +2

Yes! This is Ozbargain isn't it

  • Can we buy 13 and keep using each month until they expire on 1/08/2017???

  • +2

Just tried at Melbourne metro CBD. Vouchers didn't print on receipt and staff refused to honour the price and had to get a refund.

Warning: Make sure vouchers are printed before walking out.

    • +1

      that sucks

  • Didn't work. Additional discount didnt't apply after scanning wow card. Briabane store.

    • did you buy a $2 sim card together with the vouchers?

  • Patched already?

    Ozbargain 2
    Woolworths mobile 0

    • Seems so. Town hall Sydney didn't work

  • +2

sounds like they caught on - dont think this is better than the $30 starter kits that were going $1 though

    • yea, got 7 sim packs, will last for quite a while

  • +2

$30 starter kit for $1, where that deal?

    • +3

Check ozbargain more often so you don't miss out..

    • Here and here.

  • Just tried at 2 stores in Melbourne; second discount didn't apply.
    Seems to have been patched.

    • So you get the 30% from the catalogue but not the other one op got?

      • That is correct.

  • +1

Expired just paid $31.50 at Box Hill after the QV gave me a bum steer while they were fixing the issue!

  • Just went to nearest Woolworths..not even 30%

How u guys take to self checkout as the cards I saw there could only be bought from service desk !!???

    • +1

There's the option to purchase recharge credit via the self service machines, recharge details will print on the receipt as opposed to a physical card

      • Thanks for this info as I never did it :)

  • Thanks Op managed to get a few before the patch which happened 1 hr after

  • -2

I suppose a clue that it was a pricing error and some thing wasn't quite right was the "please wait for online item authentication". The authentication must have set off a red flag to head office which started happening too many times so quickly.

    • +1

Doubt it, its Woolworths after all, king of colossal f**kups, they probably caught wind of it on ozbargain.

    • Wrong. all vouchers do the "online authentication" because obviously they have to check/verify the numbers they give you will give you your credit

  • Having trouble using the recharge vouchers to recharge since yesterday morning - not working at all. Who else is having the same issue…

    • You better hope that the vouchers weren't cancelled by the system or you've done your money.

    • Did they work or not?
