It's worth noting that unlike Jetstar Air Asia flights all have a stopover on the way to Japan. This means you pay 4 checked baggage fees instead of the usual 2 if the flight was direct.

    • $156 for 20KG return.

Jetstar was ~$80 for 20KG return when I travelled there in May.

On the plus side, Haneda is much closer and a much nicer airport compared to Narita.

$156 for 20kg baggage? Too much.

    • Isn't Japan totally possible in a single flight? A stopover on that kinda sucks!

Hi OP - I'm desperate to find a fare from Darwin, anything going for a cheap Japan trip?

      Hi,

Sorry, I couldn't find much from Darwin. How about $857 on Singapore Airlines?

Do you not have the internet? How are you posting this?

The point of their advertising is that people start to use their search engine!

      • +2

no need for attitude my friend

I'm actually on mobile and cannot find any reasonably priced fares - would think that asking the person THAT WORKS THERE would have better chances in finding a ripper fare.

the point of a staff member posting this is being able to answer questions from people like me

There is a big difference between a holiday sales rep and a website rep. What you want is the former. This person is the latter.

Would you book on the mobile if you're not willing to search on the mobile? Probably not. Doesn't it make sense to wait until you find a sales rep or until you get home and do it yourself? Your question sang of laziness.

The IWTF rep is great, but please consider what they are here for. You're circumventing it..

        • I hope your things gets better for you dude.
Life is way too short to be an antagonistic sob to strangers on the Internet.

          Take care my friend :)

      • o gosh you must be fun at parties

  • Anything from Melbourne to Tokyo, but not on Airasia? Desperate for one in Sep/Oct/Nov….

  • Anyone who's keen on leaving Perth, I found a $472 fare on AirAsia (via Skyscanner) 12th August to 26th August

    • I checked that price on Skyscanner - it is not available. When you click through to AirAsia the price changes to $524.

      • I refresh the page and it's gone :/ I'll keep poking about for other fares. Thanks Rep

        • You wouldn't like to try iwantthatflight.com.au? :)

        • @IWantThatFlight:

I love both sites - use the in tandem. I've noticed that iwantthatflight has been gaining considerable ground - I used to be able to save $20 by booking through Skyscanner, now sometimes IWTF is $1 cheaper :) You've also found some stranger fares (with weird stopovers) that save me money.

I love your cheap fare finder.

        • @blighst: Good to hear :) Let us know if you have any suggestions for improvements.

    IWTF is an unfortunate acronym.

      What's wrong with farting ?

      • I was thinking another word that begins with F…

      • Hadn't thought of that one :)

  • Yeah I have a flight to Tokyo this year and would rather fly into Haneda to save on my commute but the more direct flight beats that 19 hour trip time vs 9-10 hour trip time.

  • Oct 1 - 14 $550. Is this good deal, should i order with them?

If anybody knows when this deal ends let me know please.
