I have a friend who purchased from them. Smooth transaction. Saw their store in Syd. And also as you can see, rep is active on ozbargain and is happy to help as far as I witness.
    I would trust.

Bought from them in person at their Parramatta store. Would buy again.

  • +1

No issue with buying phone & replacement battery from their shop.

I think they are good, but I think some phones are shipped from overseas/didnt charge GST

    • +1

Are you confusing them for mobicity? Mobileciti have always only ever sold local/Australian stock with Australian warranty.

    • +1

      Hi holyland

we don't dispatch any phones from oversea, they all Au stock and dispatch from Sydney and all our price are included GST.

    • +1

you are thinking about a different company - mobicity.
      mobileciti only sell Aust phones.

  • Better check with them first if their items are actually in stock. I ordered online previously and chosen click & collect. After receiving notification that item is ready to collect, I went all the way to their store in Parramatta. However, upon checking their physical stock, they said that they can't find the item, so had to cancel the transaction.

    • Hi equavate

Thanks for provide this feedback, honstly we do have few stock issues in the past(<1%) as you have mentioned, which was our mistake in counting or warehouse damaged. We have bring up this issue up internally and monitor closely with our stock level, we only selling onhand stock instead of dropship and our stock level are over 99% accurate (online/store vs phsycial stock online). Sorry for the any inconneiance when it happened.

  • Gday mobicity

If i buy an iphone from you, can i take it to my local apple shop if any warranty etc is needed?

Or do i have to return it to you?

I am on the west coast

    Thank you

    • Hi grog

Normal apple iphone warranty all cover by Apple which you can bring to local apple shop.

For EOL model/2nd hand/non retail stock if warranty expired when we sold to you we normally offer seller warranty. we will always mention under production description/specifications > Warranty

Just purchased a phone from them on Monday; Australian stock and have previously bought phones from their shop in Parramatta

  • +1

I have used them once and had no problems

  • I purchased a Samsung Galaxy S7 from them.

It was only AFTER I left the store that I saw that the security seal on the box had been opened and carefully sticky taped back together.

Based on this experience I will only ever use them for price matching in the future.

    • Hi bradn

sorry to hear you are not satisfied with product you have purchase from us, just keep in mind we do accept return and change mind.
We need to know if you have any issues so we can always fix it for you.

      • I am quite happy with the product, however I dislike the fact someone went to a lot of effort to hide the fact that the security seal had been broken. This in my mind is a deal breaker.

        • Hi bradn

We don't like to hide as well, as you can see we alway mention product condition (eg. Openbox) on our website listing. You can PM me the IMEI/receipt# I can investigate the stock histroy.

        • @bradn

Bought a Samsung note 2 of Kogan and the seal was broken (disappointed) but the upside has been a great phone(still using as a back up.)
they said the seal was broken to unlock from an overseas (french) telco.

Would not buy from Kogan again -not for that reason- tho more that they can't guarantee the bands the mobile works on are the same in OZ.

Getting back to Mobileciti i have bought 2 batteries and a dash mount plus a flip cover and has been Original stock. (sent to me in Qld)

Have bought from them 4 times.
First Note1. With extended warranty. Charge port went faulty just out of normal warranty. But they repaired it under E.W.
Had to send interstate to get it fixed.

Last one I got was Note3. After an OTA upgrade GPS function turned to sh_t. Samsung Australia said they won't touch a grey import, and told me to go back to country I purchased it from.
Mobi support kept saying reset the phone (duh!). In the end they said send phone in for repair and could be some time.
But I needed phone for work.
In the end I rooted phone and installed later Android version. Finally, finally Android 6.01 is stable on note 3.
Next time I'll buy locally just for direct service support.

    • +4

      Mobi support kept saying…

That was MobiCity, and we are discussing Mobileciti here. Two completely different business.

MobiCity was almost all grey-imported stock, merged with Yatango Mobile back in 2014, and then went out of business last year.

    • +1

mobileciti is local and only sell australian stock, I think you are meaning mobicity - a completely diff company.

  • +1

I have used mobile city a few times. Always happy with their service.

  • +1

They look legit plus they have a shop in Parra. Any issues I'de rock up to the store waiving a taser gun lol.

  • I have bought a number of phones here (inc one today) for here and OS use. Never had a problem with the staff or shop. One LG purchased would not work if not plugged in, LG offered a reconditioned one only, MobileCiti replaced it with the same - which was also faulty (3 or so years back), paid the difference & moved to Samsung. Today's phone (Huawei) I hope to have as trouble free… The only 'problem' is the adherence to the opening time. Sometimes they open late.

  • I used them once just to buy a spare battery. Item was faulty and I only managed to get a replacement sent after raising a PayPal dispute. They claimed they never received my email which seems unlikely. Took a very long time for the replacement to be sent as well.

  • +1

i bought an LG phone from them. answered all my questions before I placed the order and all went well. I would buy from them again.

  • Throw us a samsung s7 silver/gold deal ;-)

  • @busyshopping

  • Merged from Does Mobileciti sell legit mobile phones?

Is Mobileciti legit, does it sell grey market mobile phones? which other online website sell genuine Australian mobile products?

    • Ask them?

    • I think they are but some brands only offer 12 months warranty

    • +2

This has been answered before, search the site. They sell Australian stock, and their rep is on OzBargain too.

    • They have a store in the heart of Parramatta. That should tell you something. They're legit.

    • don't mix mobileciti with mobilecity - the former is aus stock.

      • +2

do you mean mobicity not mobilecity.(which I think is now called Yatango)

        agree Mobileciti is great

        • Ah yeah my bad.

    • they are great. australian stock with manufacturers australian warranty.
I have bought from them before, no problems at all.

    • I think ive seen similar forum posts asking the same question about mobileciti multiple times

and if anymore of the same question gets asked i wonder if its some kind of deliberate advertising

  • What a hassle.

Who else has experienced their deliveries being sent to their billing addresses rather than their default delivery addresses set up in their account? It seems the check out process doesn't provide the option to choose where it's sent to, just payment choices for delivery or just free pickup.

It does provide the option to fill in the billing address though.

    • Hi infraredshell

Thanks for bring up this issue, shipping address option is back.

      • Thanks for hearing me out. Don't want this same issue to happen to anyone else. Cheers.

  • Watch out!
They sold me an International phone claiming it was AU stock.
    DODGY

    • How did you figure this out?

      • The manufacturer told me, but mobileciti dispute this so I'm not sure now.
But mobileciti are only providing 12 months warranty on this device which sucks..

        • What's the device?

        • @Sir King Nameless:
I am currently having the same issue, I have a Nokia 8. I am waiting for a reply from them as they are checking to see why Nokia has told me that my phone is from Fiji. Can't say yet whether it is mobileciti or Nokia at fault. Will update when I have an answer.
