Nintendo Wii Deals: Controller + Nunchuck $25, MotionPlus $16 Free Postage

21

New but without a box. Featured on eBay Australia's own the big deal as at Saturday 15 May from an Australian Seller with 24,000 feedback. Anyone know if this deal will be around after today?

Here's the direct links:

NOTE: There's no apparent claim that these are genuine, and the pictured items don't display the Wii logo, but at this price I don't think you can go too wrong.

  • The product description on the Remote + Nunchuck says it's Aftermarket, and their MotionPlus doesn't look like the genuine one I've got.

    • I think it is clear from the post:

  • Have anyone own this? Wanted to know how good it is.. Something to go with the WII purchase from Myer last week

I can't speak for these particular non-genuine products.
However, I did buy some from an aussie online shop that claimed to be genuine overseas versions. They do not work as well as the genuine ones we have at home. The pointer accuracy is not the same, the speaker clearly sounds different (louder, lower quality), etc.

It will probably "do the job" for a guest/visitor, but you wouldn't want to be stuck with that controller if you are competitive :-)

fwiw: i returned mine to the aussie online retailer, who gave me a full refund.

My sister bought a remote and nunchuck cheap from an outlet (not off Ebay so definitely not the ebay store above) that claimed to sell genuine overseas versions these were japanese, looked genuine, and a lot cheaper than the usual price in shops. The pointer accuracy is terrible (the pointer constantly jolts and flashes on and off the screen for no reason, you move the remote and the pointer wont move much at all etc) and she would have taken it back if she had a receipt. I was the visitor who tried using it and we gave up playing after 15 minutes because it was just too annoying because I have a genuine remote and know what it should be like
I bought a classic controller from the same shop, made sure i got a receipt and the buttons did not work well at all so took it back too, got a refund but he did offer to swap it when he got more stock in but I said no.

I would rather pay normal price for a non faulty remote than get a bargain that doesnt work.

  • Be aware of Wii controllers ! There are good fakes and there are really really bad fakes out there. Can't really tell from the limited photos if these are decent fakes or not. It's around the same price as ones sold on DealExtreme.

  • Fake stuff isn't a bargain IMO.

  • There is nothing special about knock off or fake stuff… Nor is it a bargain.

  • Looks like DX stuff, I use their stuff as a second controller and they work fine, but the genuine ones feel better quality.

Bought from this guy before in the past. His controllers are very very very badly off sync with the tv. Putting one of these ones and a genuine one side by side and pointing at the center of the screen and this remote is in the bottom corner. Also the speaker is shotty and even when you turn it off in the remote settings, the volume is still as loud as when its full.

  • what's with motion plus'.. would they even fit in skins?

  • When you buy the MotionPlus it comes with a longer skin for you to use.

There are photos here of a third-party black remote compared to a Japanese launch model black wiimote.
