This is up in the Quest 3 price range. Specs are mostly impressive for the form factor, but you're still stuck at 1920x1080 per eye, and software support is mediocre.

They've been at this price with coupons on and off for months (including with the "free" controller)

  • +4

If you return the controller back to Amazon, you get $59 back.

Drops the price further down to $570

    • Nice!
What reason to select for return?

      • I think said the physical Xbx/PC layout of the controller - X/Y and A/B doesn't match the firmware/software layout - inverse (Nintendo switch layout), so it's very confusing.

Bought them, enjoyed them, liked the sound and image
Mine had a distortion on one of the screens so I returned them and didn't repurchase.

The dials do nothing for astigmatism, you'll need to either uncomfortably wear glasses beneath or get their lens inserts with a prescription.

Won't buy again until the tech is better and more comfortable.

    • Does the screen feel like a huge 135 inch cinema or is that a marketing spin?

      • Its all about perception, screen does look pretty good on these glasses. I have tried multiple glasses from different brands and 1080p screen is not bad at all but my only problem is blurry edges with these glasess. Viture pro claims that blurriness is gone through so there is that. Personally i am more interested in Xreal One pro, cuz in that one had 3dof.

        • Not sure if Xreal will be offered here though. And if it was likely $1K+ if US pricing is anything to go by.

      • Not really, for me, you've gotta imagine the screen is bigger by looking through the glasses at something in the distance which kinda defeated the purpose for me. It's a tiny screen in front of your eyes and that's how it always was for me. Didn't mean that it wasn't good, you can make everything out, it wasn't like text was microscopic.

        • Bummer… thought it would be a win getting Vision Pro experience for a tenth of the price.

  • Tempted but reviews say it doesn’t feel like a 135 inch screen.. more like looking at 24 inch monitor.. that’s a pretty big difference. Anyone on here tried these? Is that sentiment accurate?

    • Sadly 100% accurate. It’s obviously impressive technologically but at this point it’s quite useless. Resolution also didn’t impress me - terrible for productivity, ok for entertainment.

      • Damn, thought the tech was too good for the price.

    • It's the same with looking at a 75" tv screen at 5m compared to your phone screen up close. I could confirm it looks bigger than my 75" at the same distance for quite a bit, probably 100-110" imo.

      • And are pixels noticeable for gaming?

        • Depend on the user but for me it's not noticeable. Screen is bright and really high quality. But I returned mine since it's smaller than my Rokid Max 2 and lower resolution.

        • I haven’t played games, but for movies its perfect, can’t see pixels. Like I said previously, for me its similar to watching a 85” from 3m, at that distance you can’t really make out the pixels, but the picture is not as sharp as watching a 4K video on a 85” from 3m, thats the only way you can say its not 4K.

        This.
To me, it looks more like watching our 85” TV from 3 meters away. Because when I stand 3 meters from the TV while wearing the glasses, the image on the glasses perfectly overlaps the TV screen.

I guess one could also argue that it’s similar to viewing a 24” monitor from 85 cm away, since the field of view is the same, but using the same logic, then you can also say its no different to looking at a 6” phone from 20 cm. But that’s not actually how your eyes perceive it. I’m farsighted, but I can focus on our TV from 3 meters without glasses, and I can also see a sharp image with the Viture glasses without prescription inserts. So, my eyes are focusing at 3 meters or further, which aligns with what Viture advertises.

  • Purchased this a week ago. I was very underwhelmed. Technology is cool but I didn’t like the lack of immersion. When using multi-monitor, the monitors come in and out of a small rectangle in the middle of the screen as you move your head. For movies it was better, but you’re better off just purchasing a really nice screen or just holding your phone up to your face, since it’s basically the same perceived size.

The reviews glaze it quite a lot - seems like most are sponsored so it’s hard to understand what the product is actually like without using it yourself.

I have tested the XREAL before and it absolutely blew me away, the "screen" image was way clearer than I was expecting. I feel this sort of technology would be a pretty good proposition at around $300-400. But it's definitely not worth real TV/Projector prices, it's a side thing, like a tablet vs a PC.

I own a pair of these, and was really surprised how great they are.

The low resolution isn't too bad when you're watching things.

Only issue I have is they're so damn small for my face. I look like Dr Robotnik

  • I've used Rokid, Xreal and bought Viture after trying their Spacewalker software on iOS. I was sold on the ability to shoot spatial videos on iPhone 15 Pro and immediately view them in 3D with the glasses. And blown away when Viture added ability to view any (non-DRM) video in 3D in their iOS app.

I have a pair of these. I have an astigmatism, so one of my eyes isn't able to get perfectly sharp, but it is nice having the ability to adjust focus for each eye.

They are still a great product, depending on your use case.

For media consumption and some gaming - these are great. If your focus is central, or broad, then they are fantastic. I use them flying and consuming content in bed regularly. Flying they're great as you don't need to be staring down at a device. I use my handheld gaming PC with this connected, disable the device screen and away I go. Handheld controller/computer, with the screen right in front of me and without the pained neck from looking down at my lap. Movies are similar. Doubly good if you have a kid sitting on your lap on a flight. They can watch the content on the in flight screen, and you do your own thing on the glasses, without the kid blocking anything.

For productive/office work. Avoid. The sharpness at the edges isn't great. Multi-screen really isn't there. And overall I struggled to make them work for productivity. I had visions of using Samsung Dex on my mobile, with a portable Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, and having a very compact portable workstation. But alas, with the corner sharpness being bad, it wasn't a good experience.

Hot hint. If your phone is driving it, rather than buying the charger/video out combo adaptor. Use a wireless charging bank to charge your phone/device and then a direct connection to the glasses.

    • I got astimagtism corrceting lenses for mine from honsvr for about $100 and it improved the image quality. however my impressions are aboout the same as yours. It is mostly for movie and games, not really suitable for reading text and productivity unless you want to strain the shit out of your eyes

    • I use them … consuming content in bed regularly

      Enough said

  • i found with this you could return the controller after for a refund if you just want cash. Not sure if it will work this time however.

  • These are absolutely amazing for watching movies or videos while traveling or relaxing at home, provided you can keep your head relatively still. For me, the image feels as big as our 85” TV when viewed from 3 meters away, so it’s like having my big screen TV wherever I go.
However, the 3DoF (or rather, 2DoF) feature with the SpaceWalker app isn’t great. It doesn’t work well while walking, exercising, or anytime you can’t keep your head still.
The resolution is good enough for videos but not sufficient for productivity. The multi-monitor feature feels more like a gimmick, since there’s only one viewport at 1920x1080. You have to move your head to see different parts of the extended monitors, which feels awkward and unnatural.
Some people have reported blurred edges and double vision, so depending on your IPD and eyes they may not always work for you.
