    Yes it is cheaper by $3.95 but i don't consider it a "great deal" more of a special to get an intake of customers.

        With some of these cases, they use the lightning cable to charge because the case mfgr couldn't get permission or didn't want to pay the royalty to incorporate a lightning cable. Since the case has an integrated battery, it likely hooks in to the phone's lightning port, and therefore has to provide its own connector for external connectivity.

    This is not a bargain. Giving a couple dollars off the standard price we could get already is not a deal. It seems more like a desperate attempt at getting rid of stock no one is really buying.

      This is obviously useful for people who work say as trades people, construction etc where they need their phone to be more durable. If they smash their screen, it's going to cost alot more than $125 to replace the screen

        Well i don't think it's wise to bring a $1k phone in such environment in the first place anyway. If you're more likely to break your phone at work, it'll be better to just buy a cheap phone for that purpose.

          A surprising number of tradies are partial to those iDevices. Some like the camera in the 6/6plus/6s for recording stuff at job sites, and some like some of the apps the iPhone has. I know several tradies who've killed their iPhones, replaced them and gotten cases like this one.
