That's why ancient polytheism is better than monotheism.
Waiting for the other Gods to respond to the FREE market competition.

That's why ancient polytheism is better than monotheism.

It also gave them the opportunity to develop specialist skills.

          @taki:

The food is ok, worth a try if you haven't eaten Greek street food before. There is better stores that sell similar food, these guys just have a big marketing budget and know marketing well.

    • Any recommendations?

    • Now I want to go to Greece :)

  • Odds they run out?

    • +1

they run out of free food but all of a sudden theres more food but you have to purchase it lol

  • I have been a couple times to their Rosebery location - work couple doors down
Nice fit out and friendly staff
Nice tasting food, portions a little smaller and prices higher than average.

    Worth trying.

  • Damn was going up to Sydney, can someone eat some for me?

  • It says "for all". Wonder if that means there is no limit and it's not going to run out…

I like Zeus a lot, I go to their due inch hill store. Chicken is amazing, I recommend it.

a little on the expensive side but a bit more refined than your typical gyro shop

  • +3

over rated and expensive. Tried it once wouldn't go out of my way to go back

I almost choked on my free wrap when I saw how much they were going to charge for it after the launch day!
Very much paying for the style/marketing
But highly recommend going for the freebie.

  • Better than yiro yiro?

  • +1

Has anyone been to one of these Zeus opening events before? What's it like? Well run like the Guzman y Gomez ones, or a bit of a mess?

ahhh, that old time-honoured family recipe .. enjoyed by socrates, plato and aristotle .. wagyu beef and piccalilli!! .. brought from far-away exotic lands .. they say that the wagyu was minced by zeus himself .. Our Yiayia (Grandma) wouldn’t have it any other way.

  • honestly ridiculously expensive for what you get but it's good stuff at least i guess

  • If pictures mean anything the souvlaki (or giro/gyro if you prefer) looks exactly the same as what we used to get in Omonia Square. BUT then that didn't compare with the world's best souvlaki from Lamb's in Carlton.. how I miss that souvlaki .. :-( .. !!

    • the world's best souvlaki from Lamb's in Carlton

      You're kidding aren't you?
Last time I was there a couple of years ago it was dry and overcooked. Never been back…

      Stalactites is way better.

  • Huge line…apparently 45min+ wait….

  • got there at 1140. 20 people in line. Started serving at 1155. Got my food at around 12. Excellent promotion!

    • Good decision- I got there at 12.10 and line back to the massive 5 level escalator.

  • Joined the queue at around 1240. 10 minutes later got informed that they are sold out and was given a free pita voucher to use later. Thanks OP

  • Went around 1, 15min wait and got my pita. Very organised, though they shut shop early around 1.40, possibly due to exhausting quota.

OK, would not pay asking price though

  • yes i got there about 1pm and long line and whilst a bit of chaos between the guy and lady saying he can't add more people and the lady saying but the manager said it was ok, we got in the line and got our free food. gf chose the chicken and i chose the lamb - the chicken was better.

food or i guess the bread was a bit oily and when we finished about 1:30, we could still see a line so i guess they just let more people in after
