Rok 2400W Electric Blower Vac $20.30 ($17.25 if Ordered Online) @ Masters

580

Found this on the Masters site. They have other Blowers on sale too. It has good reviews for the most part. For $17.25 I can't complain.

    That's cheaper than most hairdryers

    • +6

Hey, two for the price of one! :P

  • +17

$17.25 for a blow job is quite cheap

    • +4

Easily turned on with a touch of the finger too…who knows where itll lead…

      • +3

Probably into three slots. Who knows…perhaps sparks will fly if you do it right.

      • +1

        And it won't nag afterwards.

    • +2

      Better looking as well.

  • Not sure if it's the same model but o read here. there is an issue with the bag tearing very easily
    http://www.productreview.com.au/p/rok-blower-vac.html

    • Looks to be. But I guess you get what you pay for. I'm sure there's some hack for the bag to stop it making a mess.

    • +1

most of the cheaper ones have shit bags. Costs more than the unit to replace the bag haha

      • I'm sure you could just zip tie a large garbage bag around the actual bag with some holes in it or something like that. That's what I'll be trying.

        • +1

zip tie a large hessian bag.

        • @ Lachiem8

          Surely you jest.

It needs a special bag otherwise the air cant escape, and you blow up the bag.

Putting holes in it means the dirt excapes thru the holes.

Normal blower bags let air escape like an air filter

But hey have fun with your experiment

        • +1

          @RockyRaccoon:
Dirt escapes from the bag anyway. If you want a fine coating of dust all over you, using this blower will be the fastest way EVER to do it.

For $20 it blows and sucks. Don't expect too much and no need to think too hard about it…

        • +1

Tied a wooli/coles recycle bag and sew up the excess gap works out better than original bag.

  • saw these at North Lakes yesterday marked at $29

  • +13

    Reviews say it sucks/blows.

    • Does it blow hard?

  • +2

Thought it would be out of stock everywhere because it's not available near me (online delivery also unavailable). But I was surprised to see it currently available at the following Masters stores:

Rouse Hill - Commercial Road, NSW, 2155
Hoxton Park - Cnr Airfield Drive & Cowpasture Road, NSW, 2171

Possibly more if I missed a postal code somehow. But WA, SA seems like a no-go.

    • +3

Can confirm Tingalpa has a load of them. They had 50 when Richlands had to transfer my order to them because they didn't actually have any left despite the site allowing me to click and collect from them. So ring and confirm stock if you're interested.

      • +1

        Cheers, got one from Tingalpa.

    • Typical, SA missed out on most things.
Thank-you for looking, as I was about to do it nyself. Be easier for me than raking up all the leaves from trees not even in my yard!
      Cheers :)

    $17.25 worth of landfill?

  • +3

Absolutely crap motor - you can hear the carbon brushes inside sparking, and smell the ozone .. also needs to be directly over the item to be sucked up which makes for a lot of push/pull to vacuum everything up.. bit of a waste of time ..

    • +1

It might be crap, but it goes very quick though!

      Speed: 270km/h

  • +2

If you have trade card this goes to $16.39 plus cash back Principal/cash rewards another 2% and a further 5% if you buy with gift card so its around $15.30 all up

  • -3

    Masters r giving cheap blowers

    • I guess one person needs to lighten up….

      • That was Mechanical Stig

  • +1

    Thanks OP, got one

  • +7

Thx OP, ditched the girlfriend. Happy days!

    • +1 for that, I had a good chuckle

Buy the ozito at bunnings. Everytime the bag brwaks (which is often) take it back and say the blower is sporadically playing up. They'll just give you a new one. Don't mention bag as it's not covered. Can do this for 3 years so not a bad investment.
PS The guy at bunnings suggested this to me when i enquired about my dodgy bag

    • Thanks for that, bow much isvthat one?
2 Masters Stores in the whole of Adelaide! Seriously what a joke, but that's us! Only got traffic lights few years ago. Good entertainment watching them change on a satdy night….Sigh

      • +1

2 Masters Stores in the whole of Adelaide

A yes, Nick X should demand in the Senate that Masters cant close down until they provide SA with enough stores to make their closing down clearance sales accessable to everyonme in South Australia 😷

  • +3

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. I had one and the the bag will drive you nuts. It leaks like a sieve, holes easily and the zip handle will break off very soon after you buy it.
Buy a Ozito from Bunnings for $40 and when the cheap bag on that breaks down spend $20 and buy a good Ryobi bag and fit it. You will then be a happy chappy.Yes it will be 3 times the price but 1000x less aggravation!!!!

  • +2

Rok products are the Ozito of Masters and Mitre 10, except far worse. At least Ozito you get the long replacement warranty and Bunnings are not going anywhere soon.

  • Hope the Ego 56v cordless blower kit gets a discount again.

    • Not sure what the discount was but it's currently 15% off if you order online.

  • +1

Bought one in Parkinson QLD. Cheaper than a decent hair dryer so no need to think carefully. I might use blowing more than sucking function so do not care about the bag quality.

    • My thoughts exactly.

  • Out of stock in most of Melbourne's S.E. and Eastern suburbs.

  • +1

I bought this last time it was on sale at Masters for $20.
It is fine as a blower, but agreed the vac function is useless.
    For $20, it beats using a broom/rake.
Note it plugs in, so you need to use an extension cord.

  • damn missed this one. Oh well I get one next time

  • Perfect for 7am on a Sunday :(
