NEW Dell Inspiron 11 3000 Laptop 4GB RAM 128GB SSD

Nearly worthwhile getting it just to gut it for the parts! This is a ridiculous price for a very very entry level laptop.

  • Great price . Is this touch screen though ? Could not find any infos about it ?

    • +1

      According to dell's website

11.6-inch HD (1366 x 768) Truelife LED-Backlit Touch Display with Wide Viewing Angle (IPS)

Resolution is crap…. but i'm still tempted

      Update!!!!

According to specs on ebay add it doesn't mention touch screen….. bugger

Maybe ask the seller the question first

    • +1

Not touch screen to my knowledge.

      • +2

Yeah, confirmed no touch screen as it is not the 2 in 1 version . Still good for school laptop for the ssd and 8-9 hours battery life .

I just bought and was writing up the post.
Storming value compared to alternatives at this price point!

Been looking for a cheap, portable laptop for kids.
Have been uninspired by the max 2Gb of RAM and 32Gb MMC storage on the cheapest options.
This Dell has 4Gb and a 128Gb SSD, plus a respectable processor for office/movies/web stuff for under $320 with the CTEC20 code.
    Don't forget cash rewards!

    • I ended up getting one too

  • Any deals for i5 variant?

  • what… too late

Bloody hell. been waiting for a deal on this one for ages and then you don't check Ozbargain for an hour and you miss out. Be nice if they list some more.

    • you and me both :(

    • +1

Hey man. More than 10 available.

  • Got one! :)

I don't think this has an IPS panel? You might be looking at the 2 in 1s specs instead of these regular laptops.

I had a quick look at the dual core version which still has stock for $299, but I don't see any mention of wide viewing angles in the listing or on Dells website.

Edit: Please note that the $299 laptop has soldered on 2gb Ram and 32Gb SSD, it is not easily upgradeable.

  • In stock now. Bought one.

    • Thanks, got one this time. Gotta be quick. :-)

Did you have an alert on for this?

  • Restocked

  • Thanks, item has been restocked today

  • What's a good bag for this laptop?

  • Excellent…… was looking at one of the cheapies from the JB sale, or the silver one on clearance on the Dell site ($499), but this is a much better deal.

    • There's a previous gen 2-in-1 and currently this is on Dell Factory Outlet (a quick google will show you) for $479.
It has a i3 cpu/4GB/128GB SSD and in my opinion is much better than this one. $419 for the N3700 version too I think.

I just purchased a new model 2-in-1 (m3 processor) and the screen is considerably poorer than the previous gen.
It also does not have wireless AC (just wireless N) and has a smaller battery.
Kinda weird to see the new version go backwards in some ways.

You can compare these at JB, both units are in stock at the moment, but I recommend getting the older one.

      • Yeah I checked that out, personally I prefer to stay away from refurbs when possible.

        • +1

Mind if I ask why? Dell's are exceptional and they have a pretty solid warranty for the same term as new..

        • We lease our PCs, I know how some of that stuff gets treated.

Plus I was trying to spend as little as possible, it's probably not going to get a whole lot of use no matter what the spec, it's mainly just something small to take overseas.

        • +1

@dav3: Yeah, I know what you mean but new/refurb is very different, these are only a month old tops - dell have got the 11 inch non touch for $199 thats a steal

      • Kind of wonder why JB don't stick this particular one. They only stock the 2GB 32GBMMC version (which is on sale now as well at 15% off… though still not worth the money I don't think).

  • Out of stock!

  • These are back in stock at the moment.

  • This is a little big laggy straight out of the box.

Can anyone suggest a good solution to speeding it up? Is it the bloated Dell install?

  • +1

Got mine yesterday, very pleased with it. Boots up super fast, quiet and good battery life. The finish on it is really good too, doesn't feel cheap and plasticity like some laptops do, and the screen is quite clear and bright too.

Fantastic machine for what I want it for, thanks again op
