It's an older model hence it's available as a refurb, it's relatively cheap for a convertible tablet Pc that can be upgraded to Windows 10 for free, and as far as Grays I have bought dozens of things from them and never had a problem, so really you just think it's a crap device

      • +4

that can be upgraded to Windows 10 for free

only if you end up getting it before the next 6 days…

        • probably why they want to ship it off :P

      • +1

I bought this same model for around the same price back when it was new. This is not "relatively cheap", it's massively overpriced.

    • +4

you've got balls to say that

      • Can you install eunuchs on this notebook ?

  • New would be a reasonable price

    • 2GB RAM… Will probably be 'lightning fast' for first 2 weeks..

but none in stock right now i have bought from them before they are good products just have to wait for stock!

    • That's a really cheap price, but how realistic is it that they will receive stock any time soon?

      • Depends because it is an older model probably not. I bought a 16gb Walkman from them it was out of stock and i waited and got it.

I was going to buy the T100 a few years ago when the dollar was better it was like $200 aussie dollars then but stock would come and go.

Also the website doesn't look as big as it use to. Maybe people are using another website now i will have a look around.

      • You can ask them the customer service is good. Then they can tell you if they will ever have stock

Has been cheaper NEW multiple times in the past, and that was before this model got it's refresh. Look at the deal history on this.

    • Yeah, they were cheaper than this 2 years ago when new. No deal.

    • Fair enough but it's still the cheapest currently, and there are people paying not much less for similar performing machines that aren't transformers and have a battery life of a few hours rather than 15 hrs. It's not the best deal of all time but a lot of people could do a lot worse

        It's used, not new…

The battery life of T100 is rated at 12 hours on the ASUS website and reviews indicate that it will generally last for around 8~9 hours from full charge.

Refurbished + Grays Online = NEVER

Far better option here http://www.cfonline.com.au/index.php?route=product/product&p… at $229 with a 64GB SSD instead of eMMC, and you get to choose between having Windows 8.1 or 10 preinstalled.

    • Yes this definitely kills the deal, I stand corrected

  • Sorry OP, your post has been scrutinised here and there's no deal. Better luck next time.

  • This thing is literally 3 years old and barely $150 cheaper then it was new (when on special) 3 years ago. Just why?

    • and that's with 20% off!

  • Sorry for the amateur question

    I have a surface rt 64gb

I hate windows 8. Win 10 or win8 with classic shell is fine

All i use the tablet for is Internet. Emails. Watching movies on planes.
    I don't play games.
    Touch screen
All i need is long battery life.
To be able to type like a pc
No lagging, hanging. Slow downs of any sort (for basic word processing. Browsing)
    Usb port. Flash
    Detachable kb
Size wise sinilar to surface. Just not huge
    As cheap as possible.
    Grays refurbished is fine

    Will this model suit?

    • I have this model for a few years as a spare light laptop. I use it for about a week or two every 3 months. It was good for travelling.

But I've had issues with wifi randomly not working (do a google search, apparently I'm not the only one), and while the battery life is long, there is an issue with the tablet and keyboard connector that reduces the battery life. So I can only get a long battery life if I shut down the tablet.

      So in short, avoid.

      • Damn. Thanks.
I was still consideing this unit until the bit i read about needing to shut down the tablet.
To me thats the point of tablets.

I had no problems with my ipad that would just switch on after long periods of non use just by pressing the button.

As with my surface since it also doesnt switch on straight away even with battery its always a pray pray pray situation that my tablet actually switches on even if ive fully charged it the night before and ive switched if off properly.

Not happy since surfaces arent cheap!

  • I have one of these. If you like windows I suppose its ok. Mine has a random doesn't charge overnight thing even though the charge light is showing. I would love to have a linux OS or even better Android on it but they also seem to have their own problems I would not recommend it.

    • I have a similar unit, have you checked to see if anyone has an android package that would run on it? It's a very popular unit however it never shipped with Android of course

      • Yes its out there as well as Ubuntu But on whatever forums I have found They have different problems as well. My plan is to put dual boot on but at the moment I'm not game in case I brick something

    • Have you tried using a different charger or USB cable?
I fine mine doesn't charge with some chargers or USB cables if not enough current gets to it.
It also support Quickcharge 2.0 chargers for rapid charging.

I have one of these and it charges it up from 20% to full in about 3 hours.
