    No Image?

  • I've already got one, it's been humming and getting quite hot the last time I used it. Might get another at this price.

    • +21

      it's been humming

      Do you recognise the tune?

      • +10

        Says unavailable for me.

If you have one and its humming and overheating, I wouldn't be buying another one no matter what the price is.

        • +14

price is a smokin hot deal … on fire … literally.

          :)

        • It hasn't caught fire yet.

      • +3

        Shazam it!

      • +5

Burning down the house by Tom Jones?

        • +1

You mean 'Burning Down the House by Talking Heads', right?

        • @silverrat23: TJ and the Cardigans did a cover of it.

      • We didn't start the fire

    • +6

If possible could you upload a picture?

    • NEED MOAR POWA

    • is it a heater as well?

  • No click and collect nearby.. nearest is 15km…

  • +2

    How many amps?

    • +1

      2 x 1 A ports
      2 x 2.4 A ports

    • 3A max on 1 USB, 38W

  • +1

Need a minimum spend of $30?

    • For online orders, yes.

  • Can't find any store with stock in VIC

  • WOW their online only offer on Streets mini magnums is $6 each or 2 for $14.

    • +3

please focus we are talking about USB 4 Port Wall Charger here.
and its cold and wet in sydney too.

    • +3

hah u almost had me at 2 for $14

  • I ordered this online yesterday, and I just got the out of stock notification.
I also didn't get a number of other things that were also discounted.

  • Thanks, just ordered a few.

  • +1

    Is that online only?
Says minimum $30. Not going to buy 30 of them.

  • You get what you pay for. I'd rather get a 4-6 port charger that can quick charge 3.0 or do Type-C 3A output (depending on your phone). More expensive but much better.

    • +1

No equipment I have can benefit from those specs, so would be a waste of money for me.

That is, you pay for what you get - I'd rather not pay that much.

      For $1 it's great value (2x 2.4A + 2x 1A, 34W max & 3A max/single USB)

But why would you want to save a little (buying this cheap gear) when owning much more expensive equipment needing better charging, as you rightly say. This is not the deal you're looking for 😯

  • Did not have prices but it scanned for $1 , using it now .

    • +1

What is the description / details on the package.
A photo would help others track down stock.
      Which store?
      Thanks😯

      • Should be HUB Brand in blue/white packaging.

        • That's what I had assumed. I've commented before on discounted Hub products.

But, a search of hub devices on Woolies own system in store did not show it, but "USB 4 PORT WALL…" brought it up. Woolies online does not list it as a hub device. Without a photo, it's harder to find.

So was wondering if this might not be a Hub branded device.

        • +1

          @Infidel:
Asked in store today and they said the SKU lined up to HUB branded. Couldn't find the 20 they were meant to have in stock.

        • @Steptoe:
          Thanks for confirming :-)

Seems old stock. I've never seen this product in the Hub range. Staff from the section had never heard of it. A photo might have helped.

OP never said they bought it, rather it is listed on Woolies.

So might not be much stock (probably enough nationally to meet minimum quantity for deal), & what is showing on Woolies system may be phantom stock, like the 20 you couldn't find ;-)

And now we have the photo & specs below.

  • Went to 2 Brisbane Woolies I know for good stock of this type of stock.

First store - none on shelf, but stock showing on system. I could c&c at that store.

Staff member called - these are old stock so none out back. Checked 4 areas of store clearance stock congregates - none. Phantom stock removed from system.

Second store - none. Never have had these.

So those placing online orders may be disappointed. Also if there is any stock, it may go before orders are filled. It's a frequent issue.

  • +1

All gone in Marriott waters, the hunt club and the Avenue near Cranbourne Melbourne. I got the last one.

  • +3

    It's green and white packaging. Hub brand. Keycode in the adapter itself is 792855. It's 2x 2.4A + 2x 1A. Output 5V 6800mA 34W max & 3A max/single USB.

6 left at seven hills :)

    • Thanks for the details & stock location.
      Great value.
      34W - impressive for $1😯
      Pity none near me.

  • +4
    • Impressive help on this deal - thanks all.

Quite a big package, so hard not to miss. Have never seen this in Brisbane stores in last year.

I bought the similar 2 USB WALL CHARGER (2.4A + 1A), but paid $5! Same colour package. Use it every day - very happy with it.

The mains plug on my one slips off, revealing fold out US twin pins. Hence the Travel Charger name. (Very handy for regular trips to Japan.)
See if it slides off 😊

Still on Woolies system, so may be around cheap somewhere…

  • +1

There you go OZB, perfect for your mini NES.

  • There's a money back guarantee if not happy with purchase 😯

Seems a continuation of the Hub Clearance from 9 months ago
Woolworths 'Hub' Megathread: Tech Things From $1

  • Wow can't believe i missed out on this.

  • Thanks OP, got the last one in a Melbourne store so there must be stock of this floating around. It wasn't in the tech section but found it with all the stationary, so for those searching also look there.

    • Which store did you clear out?

      • +1

        Canterbury Gardens (Bayswater Nth)

  • Anyone confirm if the mains plug slides off, revealing the fold out US twin pins underneath?

    • +1

Yes you are right, it does do this, not advertised on the packet but clearly indicated on the instruction sheet. Shame I'll probably never get to the US to take advantage of it.

      • +2

Hence the Travel Charger name & image of plane on pack (& 110-240V).

Good - most people don't read instructions, so may never realise that. Got a neg in another Hub USB Travel Charger deal for pointing out that feature. The plug can be a little difficult to remove at first.

Having a US plug means it's easier & cheaper to find an adapter for the country you want. Strangely, mine is currently in a Japanese power board, using the 2 pin plug - I'm only using the outlet for Japanese USB chargers, on 230V.

I used mine (2 USB model) in Japan (US plug) in April. Charged tablet & phone from 1 USB, & had light on other socket. 4 USB & 3A max on 1 USB would be more useful for travel.

Pity I can't find any of these close by. Great product for $1😯

    • Are you specifically referring to this one? I don't have much idea about these things, however this one feels solid in the hand and looks to be (externally) well made.

    • It's not the price that necessarily dictates quality & safety. (I've received free USB chargers from a major manufacturer with Australian certification - your advice is to bin those?) I think your warning is unwarranted in this case.

This was not really a cheap USB charger - Woolies are just clearing the last few left at a ridiculously low price. This is a genuine price reduction. A big difference to cheapies on eBay, markets, etc

Have been using Hub 2 USB Wall Charger (similar to this unit) for over 9 months. Well built. I think that model were over $30 last year.

From discussion on Whirlpool The product casing wears a C-Tick and Responsible Supplier number E285

Photo of packaging front & rear above.

      • The product casing wears a C-Tick and Responsible Supplier number E285

Yeah confirmed here for the 4-port. I could take a picture but I really cbb :P

        Nothing to worry about ^_^

        • I'm totally reassured ;-)
Should be OK, but I can't find stock to be worried anyway.
          Full technical specs below.

        • @Infidel:

nicely researched. and yes the plug clips and slides off to reveal US prongs underneath.

were you able to source one mate?

        • @CVonC:
          No 😠
Haven't seen them in Brisbane stores since last year. Was going to try a small Woolies that often has old stock, but couldn't be bothered. Chasing elusive deals is not that rewarding. Glad some found stock.

  • +2

Campise Woolworths has 5 left of stock at this time of writing.
It doesn't have the $1 tag but if you scan it, it $1 on the register screen, Cheers

    • +1

Bought the last two (I think - hidden/obscured behind other products) at Campsie, thanks.

  • +2

    5 left at Merrylands.

  • According to a Whirlpool post, this has part number GPE034H-050680-Z, which shows up in this site - with detailed specs.

Note the folding twin US style pins, which the detachable Australian adapter slips over. Supplied in different countries with appropriate adapter.

  • 8 left at Glenwood

  • Picked up a few from camberwell Vic. Still about 5 or 6 available. Not advertised with a ticket but scanned at 1 buck. Thanks op

  • Tried 5 Brisbane (southside) stores - only carry Moki & Verbatim USB Wall Chargers. So no happy ending for me😢

These replaced the Hub ones which reportedly sold out a long time ago here. Haven't seen this product since last year. Various Hub products have been on clearance for 9 months.

  • Had a look in Woolworths Macquarie Centre Brisbane City.

No luck, but I did grab a 2.4A+1A Verbatim travel wall charger for 20% off at $14.36.

  • Managed to score some of these finally! Not bad either, just hope it don't burn the house down lol

  • Spotted a bunch of these in Leeton and remembered this thread. Unfortunately they scanned at $15 (and no price on the shelf) so I bailed.

  • Finally found but scanned at $10.
