I bought these last year at SCA for $15. So they suddenly changed it to $2 normal price… Boo!

      • Tagged $5.00 in store, but scanned at $2.00, minus discount.

    Nice !! Grabbed a few c&c

  • Excellent! Now I can buy a few for those field repair jobs too! I keep losing those damn things.

  • Are these are good or is quality questionable ? Normally cheap interchange bits are easily malformed.. but hey its super cheap.. ha!

    • I've found toolpro stuff to be a level above "cheap" but they're not snap-on quality. Def a good deal at the price

    • It's got lifetime warranty.

  • Wish they sold Bergeon 6825 at this price

As an aside, the newer macbooks also need a pentalobe alongside the torx screwdriver to get into them.

    Disappointed: no zip ties :|

    • Its a screwdriver. Not sure why you thought of zipties?

      • +19

It's the normal joke as a lot of screwdriver sets advertise 50pcs but 20 of it are zip ties

  • Thanks OP Great for laptops as you said.

Perfect, needed a star shaped one for the Dyson. Cheers OP

    • FYI Torx

      • Oh is that what it's called. Hahaha I've always just gone plus, minus and star.

So it's what, Philips, flat and torx?

        • +1

Spot on, well flat can be called slotted and blade, comes down to locality.

Another thing to be careful of is Philips isn't always Philips, sort-of. There is another very similiar one called POZI/POSI which has 'wings' between the 4 points of the Philips (see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_screw_drives#/media/Fi…). You'll get far greater torque and less stripped heads if you are aware of this and use the correct bit.

Pro tip: A lot of IKEA and Computer screws use POZI drive, Philips will work but not as well.

  • can this one open the 2 screw at the bottom of the iphone 5?

    • +1

No, you will need a pentalobe screwdriver.

      • thanks, save me from getting unused tool

  • T5 opens a lot of phones :)

  • zz paid $9.95 at bunnings yesterday for exact same kit

    • +1

Buy one from Supercheap and return it to Bunnings.

  • Saw this and immediately drove to the local store. Was told a guy got the last one a couple of minutes ago. Damn

    • Order via click and collect, then pickup whenever.

      • but it says order will be held in-store for 7days for pickup.

        what happens after 7 days?

        • +9

          they eat it for lunch

        • I waited 4 months for something I ordered at Christmas.. Don't wait that long. It was the biggest stuff around as they only keep records on hand for 3 months.

I had to call head office and jump through all kinds of hoops. They thought someone had already collected it for a period of the discussion. Then they couldn't find any evidence on their books.. Etc.. In the end.. I won't be waiting that long for c&c. I got the item in the end though.

        • @Trozza:
4 months?? Did you really want it or not?

        • @albanyson:

Not really either. Kinda indifferent. It was an eBay sale on over Christmas, ppicked up some really cheap car wax that I didn't need to use for a while. So I was just going to pick it up next time I went in. Took several months before I needed something urgently from them.

        • @Trozza:
As long as you got your bargain…..

I'm usually anxious to get it in my hands as soon as possible.

        • @albanyson: yeah, after that stuff around I won't be leaving it longer than a week. It was too much effort.

  • Thanks. Purchased, collected and used already:)

  • Bought the last one at campbelltown store :D

  • Cheers, Jindalee ran out of stock before I could get through checkout but Taringa let me go through

  • Thanks OP. I just got me one.

  • Its not enough bits. I bought one of the net it has 50 pieces so many different shapes and sizes needed. But it is cheap!

    • Wetherill Park rep told me there is plenty in Villawood

  • Lots of stock in Adelaide stores, in case anyone wanted to know.

  • Ordered 2 and was told they only have one left at Belmont W.A.
