        • @Craze: called up Woolworths and asked if any in stock near my area and he said they are all sold out. I reckon a lot of staff members must of bought them.

        • @Inflow: Staff Discount is the icing on the cake for this deal.

        • @Neoika: yeah my sis just started working there, I have been nagging her every time about when she's getting that discount card lol.

  • Has anyone seen them in ww in Perth area?

  • Where do they normally keep these? I couldn't spot any with all the other gift cards, or with the Sims behind the counter.

  • +1

Apparently these cards do not exist… Apparently no stock of them in the entirety of NQ…

    • Now that I think about it, I do not recall ever seeing this card in woolies in the gift cards section.. And I have looked a handful of times over the last year too.

Can we use this eftpos card to buy the 5.25% off WISH giftcard online?

    • +1

No. EFPOS (Electronic Funds Transfer at Point Of Sale). It's a card that can only be used physically not online.

  • Looks like a very limited supply.
I called the one Woolies near me and they didn't have any. The other one said they only have "two or three".

  • I checked the perfectgiftcard website. It takes 24 hours to get card activated. so chance you have to buy card (if any!) first then wait for another day to use it.

  • Bought so many of these the woolies lady asked to see my licence.

    • Did you manage to pay by Wish gift cards / e-gift cards?

      • I was not paying with gift cards. Guess you could try.

        • Did you pay by a credit card then? If so, was the transaction treated as 'cash out' as some suggested here?

        • +1

          @feihong:

Yes, I did. It does not seem to be treated as a cash advance. Let me know if you notice anything different.

        • @watwatwat: cool, will do

    • Which store if you don't mind sharing?

    • can you just please confirm that you got the $10 woolies reward on each one? Thanks

      • +1

yes you get $10 for each eftpos card that you buy

  • +3

    Paid by amex fine
Bought in lots of 4 and 5
the 5 lot got $40 taken off from the first lot
Not much stock around at all or its been bought before I got there

    • Did you use Woolworths Dollars to offset $40 the payment successfully? I have around $100 stuck in one of my Woolworth RC, which I would like to use elsewhere.

  • These are proving hard to find in South-West Brisbane

  • Anyone had luck in SE Melbourne yet?

  • +4

Bought 10 and used egiftcard to pay without issue

    • Did you get 10*$10=$100 WW Rewards?

    • I am assuming that you used self-service counter to purchase these using egiftcard.
Did you put all 10 through in 1 transaction? Did it require staff approval?

      • +3

No staff involvement, but don't scan all 10 at once since purchases over $500 will trigger assistance.

        • +1

4 Cards per transaction to circumvent the staff.

        • @Neoika:
Thanks. Lets see if I can find any tonight. Planning on hitting up 3 closet stores.

        • -1

Actually I think $400 triggers operator approval.

    • +1

Thanks for sharing.I know it will work. Only ignorants negged my comment above.

    • Thanks for the info, updated OP.

  • None at Springfield, Richlands, Forest Lake or Inala QLD.

  • None at Mascot NSW.

I bought an egift card last night from cash rewards for $500. Took it to woolies today and bought the perfect gift cards one at a time so that the following four were all $10 off. Worked beautifully. Went to the self-checkout obviously but at one point a staff member came over to help me scan the bar code. She didn't seem fussed that I was buying five. I will not use them at the supermarket because I get 3 points per dollar with my amex but will use them somewhere that doesn't take amex. I think I will buy another $500 egift card and think about buying some more.

For the people who bought 10, what do you plan to do with them? You need to use the physical card so any online purchases are out.

Use my friend's eftpos machine to cash out.

      • Won't they be charged a merchant fee?

        • Least of their worries.
Breach their merchant agreement by doing that and they could lose their eftpos facility completely. Hope it's not important to his or her business!

        • Merchant fee for EFTPOS transaction is negligent not like Credit/Visa/Master Debit card

        • Yes, I'll pay the 1-3% fee.

        • @jasonb:

          What do common agreements disallow?

        • +1

          @watwatwat:
          - Processing cards not in exchange for goods and services.
          - Providing cash advances or cash out (except for eftpos cash out, which is blocked on gift cards)
          - Using cards owned by yourself or friends/family (to prevent the above, I assume)

  • OK, I wasn't going to reveal it but I got them from the Moorabbin, VIC store

  • did a couple today

Has anyone tried paying for them with the cards themselves?

    • +4

I have tried paying the gift cards with the cards themselves today. It worked!

      • +1

I purchased one on Wednesday and I'm still waiting for the funds to appear on it. How long did it take for yours to show up? I tried to use it straight away and they said it takes 24 hours. its now been over 48hrs and according to the online website on the back of the card to check the balance its still on 0. Not sure whats going on…

        • There is something wrong. Take it back. My funds were loaded instantly.

  • Bought some at Neutral Bay.

  • None at Forest Hill, VIC.

  • very hard to find these gift cards
went to 2 woolies and both don't have it

  • +1

The purchases from this offer will probably affect the average that Woolworths Rewards think you spend each week. This will increase the target for your next several targeted offers. This will make it harder to get good offers and rewards in the future with the Woolworths rewards card that you use.

    • Good point- I noticed with flybuys they've decreased the spend amount from $50 to $30 (I tend to split my shopping through the week), although this happened only after, say 9 months of shopping, so they didn't catch the trend quickly enough!

Having purchased 3 in one hit would be the largest shop I've had so far. Will take note of what comes out of the docket next. Oh wait I normally don't print dockets!

Anyone tried to get one from Big w and buy in woolworths

    • Gonna steal it?

  • Has anyone tried multiple rewards? ie multiple rebates on 1 WW rewards card?

    • Yes its fine, I did 5 at once.

  • Any stock in Sydney?

    • Nope

  • Got myself 5 yesterday.

Apologies for earlier comments that refereed to Wish cards not working. I was referring to eftpos/Visa prepaid cards that are not preloaded.

  • can you use $10 rewards credits to pay towards a gift card purchase? if so how does it prompt you at the self serve terminal? btw i had to ask someone at the service desk to go and fetch me some cards. they had them hidden from public display in the gift card section. so just ask if cant see them on display.

    • +1

yes. I bought 4 as the max was 4 per customer. Got $40 WW bucks
Then bought another one in another transaction and it automatically deducted $40 from total

Anyways, seems my local Woolworths has taken these off the shelf after they witnessed my gift card inception yesterday and only kept the $50 version on shelf

      • No,stock runs out fast.

      • I was thinking about doing inception but it gonna waste the cards while I actually need more of these cards.

      • +2

This gift card is so versatile that I think gift card ception is hardly worth the effort.. Rather, I see this deal as an opportunity to maximise credit card points while pocketing some savings as a very nice bonus

  • No stock at Garden City, QLD. I asked the staff if they still have some, but an idiot gave me the Davis Jones perfect gift card (black color and looks like the eftpos perfect gift card)

  • any stock in QLD?

most of them don't have it or don't accept this card

  • i think most stores got a box or 2 late delivered but they haven't put them out on display. you need to ask for them. i asked for 10. they wanted to process it for me at the service desk but i said no i want to grab groceries too. two staff watched me suspiciously put about 5 through the self service checkout. shall process the others at another store instead. there should still be some in Calamvale if you ask the right staff member to get them for you . they are locked in the centre card display. has anyone tried to do a rain check on this offer?

  • RAIN CHECK. Ha ha very good idea!

  • +1

still more than 20 cards left at Preston (vic) woolworths, I went there twice bought 5 in total using my egift card.

  • +1

Camberwell Vic had 0 during the week, they've restocked either yesterday or today.

Went and bought 4 just then.

    They still have heaps more!

  • Anyone who has bought this giftcard, do you know if it is possible to pay off your creditcard bill with eftpos at the post office? Ive only ever done bank transfers to pay mine off

    • yes, but only if your credit card statement has a Post Bill Pay barcode on it.

      • damn i wish i thought of this earlier so i could go buy some

  • tried to pay of the coles credit card using the gift card at kmart but it was declined. has anyone had any luck paying off any other credit cards using the perfect gift card? maybe i should try doing it at the post office or paying off my rates?

    • +1

That's because it is a cash out transaction at Kmart and Target.

    • what JIMB0 said, and the latter will work (post office), you can do it.

      • Cost $2 to pay your Coles MasterCard at the post office, there goes half the discount you got on the card.

        • coolsteps was asking about the rates, which doesn't attract fees.
