If you're a Qantas Frequent Flyer, you'll also earn 80 status credits for the return trip and 3750 frequent flyer points. Whereas if you paid for a Qantas flight you'd get 160 status credits and 8500 frequent flyer points :)

Get a cheap connecting flight to Queenstown and go ski?

      • And Air New Zealand domestic flights can be super cheap too. We paid NZD40 OW from Auckland to Christchurch a few years ago, NZD30 Christchurch to Wellington

This could even be worth nesting a NZ-AU flight in - Fly before aug 30, buy a cheap o/w flight back and book the return of this LAN flight sometime next year (or over xmas/NY break), and buy another o/w back to NZ in order to use this. Especially useful for those that need to visit soon, and also to offset the christmas price rises

  • Was about to make use of this deal, until I discovered LATAM charge full fare for lap infants in their Business cabin. Might as well book them their own seat in that case!

as they should. Defers people from bringing infants in business class.

          Haha yeah good spot.

I spoke to LATAM about this. Even if you choose lap infant, they reserve a seat for the baby. Also it is not full fare, it will cost you 68% of the full fare. Don't forget to use Cashrewards and buy the ticket through expedia. You will save a further 1.5%
