I was in Aldi on Monday at Blacktown. They had the 4GB version discounted not the 500GB version which was still $199. If they finally reduced the price, great!

Didn't try. They did have a 500GB but if they really have come down to $129 I doubt they've got it now.
If anyone has seen any West of Melbourne, please let me know. I still play mine and don't think it's got much life left in it. It's getting a bit noisy.
Maybe its a good idea to look for some used xbox one on gumtree, you can easily snap one for $250 which i believe its better buy if your xbox 360 is compatible with xbox one backward.
Not all games will be backwards compatible so I am still looking to get one as well.
Good suggestion and probably would've just got a One if i didn't have many games. Only about half of my collection is backwards compatible across both digital and physical titles.
Aldi Brimbank had a 500gb on display in the front glass cabinet (discounted to $129) 2 days ago.

I should have been clearer by simply saying that Brimbank is the only one in stock - the one in the display cabinet (all other stores listed above have no stock). Aldi are terrible, so you have to visit the stores yourself (or get them to call for you). Possibly also calling the ALDI customer service number might help you but it doesn't work on weekends.
Tell me about it, one store i went had the 4GB model but it was $50 more then the 500gb model. Go figure. I emailed customer support last night but was given a generic response and how it was an old special and no stores nationwide had stock.
