  • Is this on the A380?

Very good fare - saw a similar one when booking to the US a few months ago but let it slip and it disappeared.

    • Qantas flies a 747 to San Francisco.

      • Didn't they change some (or all) of them last december:

On 18 December 2015, Qantas started non-stop services from San Francisco to Sydney using our newer B747 aircraft, refreshed with our flagship A380-style interiors

          It's a 747 with A380 seats. Same-same but different.

        • @madge:

          I need more sleep. Thankyou

        • @madge:
I prefer the 747 for the simple fact that that arm rests stay up.

  • Booking through STA so you know the usual (if you're feeling unethical and don't want to give IWTF credit for the find):

$1 Flight Centre or 0.8% cashrewards.

    No love for Melbourne? </3

  • Could I use my Qantas FF points? I've got about 100k hopefully enough

I wish they'd stop advertising this fare for travel in October. It would be nice to have a few seats left to spread out in economy when I fly in late October. I'm fearing my flight is going to be packed to the brim!

Jump on this fare people A great deal indeed! :)

    • God what kind of first world problem/whining. It's in the airline's interest to sell out their seats.

First LA, now SF… hopefully flights to NYC are next!

    • Yeah really hoping there are flights to new york in late november to December.

      • yeahh not gonna happen sorry ;)
that's peak travel time basically :(

        • I'm looking for flights in Sept/Oct, want to avoid peak time prices!

  • A Great find!! At this price I would even take a 747 (yesterday's technology)

    • what technology does the A380 have that the 747 does not?

      • +1

AFAIK (compared A380 to any 747 before 747-8)
        - lower cabin pressure (i.e. less sinus pressure)
        - quieter
        - high humidity (less dehydration, dry skin,…)

  • Damn it. Nothing in September again
