QANTAS is having a flights sale across a number of destinations. Of note, return flights to USA around $1,049 to $1,299. I booked recently with Virgin, but just checked my Sept/Oct school holiday dates, and there are sale prices! Great fares to US with a great airline!

No they aren't, but you can stop over for 100 bucks extra.

There was a better deal to sfo on Qantas posted last week with almost identical dates iirc.

i checked that one. there weren't sale fares in sept/oct like there are with this sale. so maybe this sale a bigger range of dates.

brilliant deal for the school holiday dates. Already booked United cheaper to NYC but would have paid this extra for these better dates.
I just booked a flight into LA and return from San Fransisco… I suggest you books soon. I wanted a return to LA and 2 weeks ago it was $1100 or so, but it shot up to $1600+… Gotta be quick…

They might be gone. I tried the dates I had booked earlier with Virgin. Syd>LA 26/9 and NY>Syd 15/10 and got $1200, but that was before I posted.
