  • This is good as you are getting the modem for free essentially. It is what I use, but I had to buy the modem for $120 or so and mine is an older one that doesn't have a micro SD slot allowing the modem to double as a USB thumb drive.

  • When did it go away it's been up for the last 8 months I know i've been buyign them on a weekly basis for work people its cheaper to do this than buy a 12Gb recharge lol

  • its a shame i cant get any 3g whatsoever where i live with 3..

  • I wonder if Office Works sell recharge cards, might be able to get a price match.

  • The modem, e122, only supports 2100Mhz in 3G (HSDPA/UMTS). It does support more frequencies in 2G GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850/900/1800/1900MHz). Since this is for Three prepaid, it is sufficient (you cannot really roam to Telstra network anyway).

Cannot complain I guess (since the modem is free). The modem is probably still okay for Optus and Vodafone (if you only use it in the city areas).

Good deal… pity Three's 3G network does not work well where I work.

  • Vodafone also has a similar deal now except you don't get a modem with it- not that it matters if you're using an iPad

  • @BenMHarvey: Ive had a look at this deal for ages and haven't really seen it for a while. Although I will not argue with u, if you have seen it always because you might be possibly right. However just a heads up for people that are interested in getting a usb modem thats all

  • will they honor this deal in-stores? cbb waiting for delivery.

also is this a huewai modem? doesnt really say much about it

    • This deal has been up for awhile now.
Wasn't aware that it was no longer available prior as I've been umm-ing and err-ing about it for the past month.
I also hoped to get one in store, but was told it was online only.
Ordered 1 from online store last week, delivered within 3 days

Unless what the OP meant was that the deal is back again for in-stores…
Anyway.. thought I'd just share my experience

  • I shouldn't have NG it because its a great deal thats why i use it but yeah been up for awhile now I've got a pile of modems building up lol but always good too have backups

    But yeah great deal

  • No moneybackco rebate? :(

  • @StevieRay: I only noticed this online, however it seems like its been up for a while according to you and BenMHarvey, my bad haha, however hope it helps others that are in search for one

  • Does anyone know if this can be purchased at this price instore?

    • It is an Online Specila Only. Cannot be purchased or Pricematched in store.

  • mixology: web site - product specs - yes, it's a huewai modem …

    aznsniper: check StevieRay's comment

  • cool thanks guys just bought a black one.

  • 3 mobile broadband is terrible! Check whirlpool.net.au to read about how many problems people are having. In a lot of areas it's as "fast" as dial-up. I'm getting a massive 5k/s right now.

    • I agree. I got the same deal last month with E1756 key modem and switched from Unwired to Three. Very disappointed with the speed..Its terrible :( !

      • If it worse than Unwired, not much to say !

  • Does this modem have an external antenna socket?

    • yep, located near the microSD Slot.

  • Huawei E1756 vs E122…which one better?
