So much $$ for a phone

    • One you can't even put a screen protector on to boot.

    • +3

Pay less and get less then?

        • +1

No I agree it's a lot of money compared to other mid range to high end phones, but just saying that you can't get anything like it for less. It might be so much money for you, but for others it may not be. I would rather pay more to get a better phone, than to pay less and deal with pitfalls. Although I am weary about the old Samsung software slowdowns… but we will see..

    • +3

I agree. The curved screen is a dealbreaker. All it does it distort your content. Android isn't designed for a curved screen - plus it messes up the colours be being on such an angle.

      • They are awful for so many reasons, hope they end this stupid trend.

  • +2

makes even cheaper with cashrewards! $1194.4

    • Post updated. Thanks

  • +1

Real OzB'ers don't preorder!, unless it's cheaper than RRP

    • +4

      It is cheaper than RRP

      • Ahem.

        unless it's cheaper than RRP

not saying that this isn't a deal

        • +1

$1211.22 is cheaper than $1349 RRP

        • +2

          @OzSikhs:

You must have a quick attention span because I said

not saying that this isn't a deal

        • +1

          @Bearosaurus:

Yea this deal is cheaper than RRP.

    • +2

      Hi Bearosaurus

      almost $400 cheaper than RRP. (RRP $1349 + 256GB Microsd $235 on ebay )
      http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2051541…

      • +3

It's a bonus!, Samsung includes it for you, so your effectively only paying for the phone, name one other retailer in Australia and Australia only who won't include the SD card

        • Have to claim from Samsung. Not included with the phone
          http://www.samsung.com/au/Note7-offer/

        • +3

          Hi Bearosaurus

we are the only au stock selling on ebay with 10% discount. Other retailer in Australia don't offer 10% off + Memory card.

          Thank you for your support!

        • +1

          @mobileciti:

Other retailer in Australia don't offer 10% off + Memory card.

OK. You're right on the 10% off but the Memory Card was an inclusion already for Australia

        • @Bearosaurus:this is the best price for Au Stock Note 7 with bonus 256gb microsd card

        • +3

          @Bearosaurus:

not every retailer in Australia and pre-order only, we pay for the bonus memory card at our own cost.

        • @mobileciti: & @OzSikhs:

I know this is the best price for the Preorder, OzSikhs

mobileciti rep, it should be included already so you didn't have to pay for it did you?

        • @Bearosaurus:
double Samsung T&C, ebay doesn't inc on they bonus offer http://www.samsung.com/au/Note7-offer/

        • @Aemit:

Have to claim and provide details in order to the card. What if you ordered from Samsung? It's kind of like, ahh the details I used to buy the phone from you haha.

        • @mobileciti:
"excludes any online bidding or auction websites (including www.ebay.com.au) "
If it is a retail store selling from ebay, I dont think that matters as retail store provides tax invoice in their name taken mobileciti will do the same. This is only for sellers selling new phones on auction. I dont remember having issues buying from target, good guys, binglee, etc. ebay stores.

So if the store is paying card from their own pocket, can't they offer cash discount straight and skip the card?

        • -1

          @Aemit:

To be honest, the microSD card ins't that desirable.
For cheap and small capacities, microSD makes sense.
But now we have UFS, which is much faster than spinning HDD and microSD's.
In fact, its much faster than other flash cards… and almost as fast as SSD's.

256GB+ of UFS makes sense, but not so much microSD.
Because you would use that extra space mostly for things like 4K recording, or RAW photo shots, or taking high-speed shots of with big file sizes.

UFS also makes sense for apps2sd, if you're into that.
          But microSD is very clunky.
Which is why the rumours of the Nintendo NX claims to use a custom flash storage (or "cartridge") instead of regular SD cards, because of their limitations. My guess is its either UFS, or a custom build by Nintendo/Toshiba/affiliates.

Then again all of these are better than BluRay disk storage solutions.
And I can't wait to have 1TB UFS cards, and 1TB phones in the near future.

        • +1

          @Kangal:

Samsung expandable UFS isn't on the market yet and current phones may not even support it, so it's really a moot point. Better to have microSD than nothing.

        • Not really, you are paying for a phone and a free SD card worth $235.

        • -1

          @ProspectiveDarkness:

The Note 7 was built with external UFS.
Samsung's already making them, they will probably push them out to the market very soon.

Better to have a microSD than nothing, sure, but using the current technology of microSD's for fast-paced big capacity computing just isn't feasible. I mean the best way to use that 256GB microSD would be for storing photos, music, and movies.
And use the Note 7 for slow-motion or 4K capture to the internal UFS storage, then Cut/Paste the footage files from the internal UFS to the external microSD card. I'm not saying you can't record to microSD, its that they currently have slow Write speeds and slow Random speeds… so its possible to lose frames, corrupt the file, or even corrupt the card from the strain.

If you had a 256GB UFS card, you could literally record in 4K straight to the external card without a worry.

Sure the microSD is "free"… but that wasn't the point I was making.
I rather have a 128GB UFS card for free instead, it's more practical for me.

I know… as I said they're not on the market yet. We don't even know if the Note 7 can support them.

And as I said, it's a moot point. We'd all rather have the best and fastest, but (a) it's not available yet and (b) it's not feasible. It'll be too expensive at launch to bundle in for free.

      • Damn! I just missed out on the black Note 7. Any idea of when you'll put the black colour up for sale again?

  • +2

    Yay local stock ;)

  • +13

Samsung is the new Apple, at least in terms of pricing.

    • Well, the iPhone will hold its resale value after 2-4 years. Not sure about this - it'll be 2 Android versions behind and ditched by Samsung.

      • +2

I sold my galaxy s3 a few months ago for $150. Not bad for a 4 year old phone.

        • I sold mine too about the same :)

  • +1

    http://www.samsung.com/au/Note7-offer/

Says ebay.com.au is excluded for the sd card offer

    • +2

      Hi Aemit

Thanks for mention this, the t&C was base on Samsung online store doesn't represent Mobileciti ebay or Mobileciti online, Mobileciti will dispatch to your memory card at our own cost (preorder with Mobileciti only). Hopefully this will make clear to you.

Thank you for your support Mobileciti!!!

      • So the memory card is included and will be dispatched with the phone? We dont have to claim with samsung?

        • Hi Aemit

          That's correct!

        • +2

          @mobileciti:
Can you confirm the MicroSD Card will be the same type and model as Samsung is offering, or will this be a different type / brand / lower speed etc etc

        • @CCCC:

          Will be same card.

        • +1

@mobileciti: Have you received my order

Free fall to 600 bucks initiated.

    • +1

i hope this fall is rapid so we can enjoy new device in same price lol

    • +3

Not even the s7 is there yet lol

  • +1

@Rep, Can you do it for $999 without the bonus card?

    • SD Card is a mandatory inclusion

      fixed.

      • I doubt the bonus card is inside the box.

        • it isn't.

        • Then Mobileciti can sell that to another customer and make a profit of $49 more. The bonus card is worth over $261.

        • -1

          @PW:

And what if they don't sell them? Will you reimburse them?

        • Yes, with 20% off stock fee within 14 days.

  • +2

if I upvote this deal will you stop commenting everywhere praising the Note 7 ?

    • +1

      lol

    • Still no upvote

      • +1

I'm having trouble finding a JP who agrees that a lol signifies a yes to an agreement so tbh you kinda left me in the dark there
        ¯_(ツ)_/¯
        =D

        • I lol with this comment

  • No Blue available?

    • no Blue available in Australia yet.

  • +1

Its a shame, Virgin had this for $1176 outright, but it appears they ran out of stock.

    • Where did you see this price mate? Online only shows Note7 for pre-order on a plan. No outright pricing. Post up a link or pic of deal please!
I can see the S7 Edge outright for $1176.

  • +3

I was gonna pre-order from The Good Guys the other day but this is even better!

    • +2

Follow up: I bought 2. One for myself and one for the miss :)

  • @mobileciti the listing says the handsets are unbranded. Can you confirm this is definitely the case (i.e. no carrier branding or bloatware)? Thanks

    • +1

Can confirm it is definetely unbranded. No carrier bloatware or branding

      • +1

        Thank you.

  • -3

found another seller, selling it for AU $1,159.95 and after discount $1043.10 ( i think this one is without sd card but not sure )

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Samsung-Galaxy-Note-7-64GB-4G-LTE…

    • +2

Considering they are selling Blue, I doubt it is Australian stock.

      • +1

        Also no sd card

    • +3

That is not Australian Stock. The one in the post comes with 2 Years AU Warranty from Samsung

    • You are so randomly pick a listing, right?

      • i always buy from seller which provide warranty through ebay, like qd_au and i only need to send my phone to ebay in Sydney and they will handle the rest, this is quite comfortable when paying with paypal and ebay is backing up the deal. Last year i got a note 5 for $650 instead of paying $1250, in case if everything goes against me and phone is dead then i can buy another one from the money which i did not pay to buy Australian stock.

    • +1

I bought one of these. Would rather the cheaper phone and I don't need an sd card. Also I've never had to claim warranty on anything, so fingers crossed.

  • Rep is this XSA firmware? Can the warranty be claimed from Samsung Australia? What us the model of SD card?

    Thanks

    • +1

I have bought from mobileciti b4 and claimed australian warranty without any issue. They sell australian stock

    • Yes it is official Samsung Australian Stock and will come with 2 Years of Local Warranty from Samaung.

      Its Samsung Evo + model

  • +5

Ripoff of a Phone IMHO, Definately due to our Horrendous Dollar here in AU

Nothing groundbreaking from Samsung though, just a bigger s7 edge with a Pen + Iris Unlock
Good Price but same processor and ram as the Galaxy S7 Edge
Only really advantage is obviously IRIS + 256gb memory card
Ill look at it once the 2nd hand market starts selling it :)

    • Plus Double the Storage 32GB vs 64GB

      USB-C 3.1

      • I couldn't care less about USB-C. The specs mean nothing to me in any truly practical sense. In fact my first USB-C device is already disrupting what was once a cable compatibility utopia in this house…

    • Shawn is example of one wise person

      • Thanks, like many others who are wise as I am
        No matter the price
You are deluded if you think its a new ground breaking phone
the s7 edge is EXACTLY the same internal hardware
        Not a difference
You do get a 256gb memory card, but you're paying for that in the deal anyway

Good on the OP for throwing in the cards at their expense but in all honesty, I cancelled my preoder with JB once I learnt that the Hardware was IDENTICAL to the s7 edge

        LOL

As for apple fanboys, I love both eco systems but find Apple have always been the GO TO for new phone users who want simplicity and simple usage, for the modders and tech heads, Android is where it is at

USB C, Wank factor IMHO, nothing uses it, wasn't adopted, probably die out like Intel and their Stupid RD-Ram back in the day, Micro-USB works for 99% of people, just another money grab by Samsung

        • ok didnt know about hardware wise but my point is, do not support those companies that charge premium for newly released product. just hold on or buy one generation before. this is not food we can survive just fine without buying at premium prices. no doubt people are paying certain % of that price just because it is NEW.

  • +1

    Bought a black one.

    Thank you.

Also, is this global warranty or just Australia Samsung warranty? Just jumped from Apple to Samsung and have no idea what the warranty cover.

    • +2

It comes with a 2 year AU Samsung warranty.

      • Globally? or just in Australia?

        • +2

          Just Australia only.

          It's written on their website.

          Warranty
          24 Months(AU)

        • +1

          @PW:

          Thank you!

          Have a lovely day.

        • Just in AU, I don't think iphones come with global warranty either (but ipads and macs do)

  • +2

Have to wait for the next 20% ebay deal.

  • -2

Gee how come 30 votes. People this is just way too expensive. Wake up.
