OZMUMS

A special for all the Ozbargain nursing mums who need the breast pads to stop the embarrassment of leaky boobs, a phenomenon you'd only be aware about if you'd ever had to live through it.

Just for comparison, the 50 pack is $6.39 at Chemist Warehouse so our deal works out cheaper.

You just insulted all the Dads here. Of course boobs leak.
We^WShe used washable pads, as its much cheaper, and easy to wash, unlike nappies.

      Of course boobs leak.

      Mine don't

    • Yeah, well as a new dad myself, I was only aware of it after I saw wet patches on wifey's chest everytime bubba started crying.

    • Err you're aware of it because you've experienced it.

  • Embarrassment is a poor choice of words as it implies a woman should feel ashamed or guilty because of a completely normal body function. Annoying would be appropriate.

(Yes one word on one post on one forum but insert song from Industry Super ad).

Agreed. I would however use the word amused, all you can do is laugh when you walk out and find you have leaked after walking all through the shops.. No point crying over spilt milk ha…ha

as it implies a woman should feel ashamed or guilty

I disagree. many things are embarrassing, but not cause for shame or guilt.
Skirt tucked in the knickers, fly undone, audible farts, wardrobe malfunction … some realities we prefer to conceal.

      • Sure it can mean feeling awkward rather than shame or guilt but it's still a negative emotion they're supposed to feel about themselves in such a situation, as opposed to being annoyed or amused at the leak itself or even glad their body is working exactly as it's supposed to. It should be as trivial to them as sneezing.

It's just more crap subconsciously piled on women by advertisers who know better (though OP may not be aware), isn't needed and especially with a new baby.

          I agree with you there.
