OfficeWorks Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop $25

360

Wireless keyboard and optical (not laser) mouse combo.
I saw these on special at Harvey Norman for $50 but Office Works has them at $25 at the moment.
Not a bad entry level wireless pair. Great value at $25

  • don't buy it. crap mouse.

  • Does it come with rechargeable batteries + charger?

    • Nope. Even their higher end models don't (few companies do).

  • It uses normal batteries. AAA in the keyboard and AA in the mouse. They are all included (Duracell or something)
The mouse goes to sleep after a while which is a bit of a pain - you have to press a button to wake it up.

  • I just picked one up (on the way past). For the price, it's good value. Batteries are Duracell. Pity there isn't Micro$oft rebates about anymore!

  • does anyone know how long the batteries last for the KB and mouse?

Cheapest is $27 on staticice. MSY have them for $28.

Not a great bargain unless you are already looking for a cheap wireless keyboard and mouse.

this price is a bargain when you live in Tassie and there is no MSY etc

But why would you need a keyboard in Tasmania? You guys don't have computers…

  • cool price

  • Anyone know what the range on these is like? 10metres+? Or more like 1m?

    • i wanna kno wats the distance it can detect too cheers

      • Using it with 100" TV? Who needs 10 meters distance?

  • Really good price! But i will stick with my logitech and pay more.
Logitech works, and they works long time. Not like MS, return rate for them are shocking.

    • I want to replace my Logitech because the keys are starting to bind. Especially the left shift key. The Wireless mouse died a long time ago. The LT KB is one with fancy media buttons. Never got the drivers to work in a stable manner. Should not be hard for this MS one to outdo my LT.

  • I've been using it and am a bit disappointed with the range.
Only 2-3 metres. Still happy I got it though.

  • I've had this keyboard for over a month when office works had it for around $35. I am pretty happy with the keyboard and mouse and haven't had any problems at all.

I do rate it as a budget entry level wireless keyboard and mouse, but for the price it a fair deal.

    Cheers

Harvey Norman has the Logitech ex100 for 28 bux
I'll spend the extra $3 for a better brand imo

  • thanks great deal -works fine with my netbook attached to my 132cm tv at a about 2.5mt diatance .my local office works had to look on the ozbargain web site to find the deal as it still came up at $34

    • Its listed as $25 on the Officeworks web site. Why would they need to look it up on ozbargain?

      • he could not find it at the $25 on the system even showed me the list ? so i told him to go to the ozbargain web site and follow the link to see the price so he did and i got the price.Didnt even scan at the $25 price?
