Put a price in the title pease

  • The i7 model has 14% better single core performance, but -3% multi core performance.
Given this, the i7 model may not be worth the $253 premium.

    • i7 also has Intel Iris 540 graphics vs Intel 520. That comparison website incorrectly calls the the 520 version Iris.

  • The XPS13 i5 is a good unit my high school son has not broken it yet…

If anyone is interested in this, make sure you also check out the Dell Outlet site:

Unfortunately, they don't sell the 16GB RAM version with 512GB SSD in Australia..

    • +1

They don't at the moment but they certainly have previously. I got mine in a 20% ebay sale but it was Dell Australia and at the time the listing definitely existed on the Dell website.

    • A family member picked up an XPS15 i7 with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD from the DFO last week…

      • An XPS 15 is not an XPS 13 though.

they do, when looking at the line up you see 4 versions, there is a button <next> to view the other 2 higher end ones…

  • I bought the i7 for $1690 using this deal - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/258279 It was $200 off and then an extra 20% off using the ebay code as well. ($2299 - $200) - 20%.
If you're interested in the i5 version, search for 'dell ctec20', which from memory was in the $1500s.
I'd suggest holding off to see if a dell promo and another ebay code stack. I have no inside information, but wouldn't be surprised to see ebay do some sort of fathers'day promo in the next few weeks.

    • FWIW, I bought my refurbished XPS 13 earlier this year for ~$1100 from the Dell outlet.

      Non-touch + i5 + 8GB RAM + 256GB SSD

      Couldn't be happier.

  • Will the 15 get the pascal gpus when announced or later during a refresh?

  • Awesome laptop. The best of many Dell XPS machines I've owned down the years. I picked mine up on the UK refurbished site whole back in the UK last year for $900.

  • Is this a good deal for Dell? Or should I wait for a potentially better deal for the XPS 13 in the somewhat near future? Perhaps Christmas?

Dell is part of ebay 20% sale?

  • i7 8Gb version currently $200 off BEFORE "CHOICE20" discount on Dell eBay. Takes the final price to $1679.20. Additional 1.25% via CashRewards too.
