Meh, save your $700 and put it towards something better

    • i sold my 1tb m1 with 16gb of ram 13 inch for 1200 a few months ago.

    • Such as?

    Eww touch bar

    • I loved my Touch Bar especially when I learnt how to customised it for each application.

      • touchbar in theory (therefore benefit of customisation) was fine. the fact of a touch sensitive esc key in practice however is an utterly fcktard demonstration of very shallow forethought.

you may have had zero issue with a touchsensitive esc key but enough folks habitually rest fingers across that corner in one way or another it was an utterly shitful implimentation.

      • I liked the Touch Bar. But making the esc key part of the Touch Bar was annoying for me as I use that a lot to reset the terminal and with no feedback as to whether it had been pressed it was annoying.

    Hmmm only 8gb

  • seems expensive for used. Pretty sure I have seen new ones being cleared for around $1k. Also, don't the m1 models have Wifi issues?

      $1200 for a factory-refurbished M2 with 16GB.

I like their bestseller of the month:

  • i think this has the old shitty keyboard too right? the one that is shocking to type on and breaks

    • +3

      No, fixed by M1 release

    • +4

We are not aware of any keyboard issues in these and we have sold few of these in the past 1-2 year. It would be covered in warranty if anything goes wrong.

      • no problem i wasn't saying it was on the store. i remembered that macbooks had the old butterfly style switch that was notoriously bad and I thought it went up to 2020 releases.

        • while this model does not have a buttfly kboard, i had a buttfly unit and never had an issue, developed the theory that problems were caused by folks who use compressed air for cleaning – do not used compair and those keyboards were pretty reliable and nice to use once acclimatised to their particular feel.

    • M1 keyboards are the fixed ones. Touch bar dog shit though

The 8gb is a deal breaker I had one of these. The MacBook froze. It caused anxiety.

    • Fantastic summary 👏

Im running the M2 with 8GB ram, on it 16 hours a day and have never ever had any issues with speed, freezing and absolutely love it. Maybe you just got a dodgy one.

      • I took it in to Apple. They told me with what I was using it for that I needed 16gb. The memory was always under pressure and in red in the activity meter.

        • Wow you must be running some extensive software (didn't think apple had any HAHAH) even when Im running VM's it's damn good. Maybe there is a fair difference between M1 and M2

        • Broooo I'm kinda wish i got this pro model, brought the m1 air from act ebay deal.

but actually yeah nah $150 more for touchbar and still 8gb ram isn't worth it.

i actually hit the ram limit just by having too many firerox tabs open… it went so sluggish and activity monitor all red. my first macbook too.

i was super mega ultra impressed by the battery life but damn… 8gb isn't enough for me.

    • We will have 16GB ram ones (higher price) next week. 5% site-wide code will work on those - unless we do a special like this.

  • any positive comments?

  • How's the battery?

    • We usually only replace battery when the battery health is under 82%.So expect to receive these with 82-100% battery health.

  • +6

This would be a deal if it had 16gb of RAM.

  • nice deal

  • Sold out already?

    • We have added some more stock.

On Facebook Marketplace, similar MacBook Pro M1 models often sell for under $600—sometimes around $500—Always check the condition, especially battery health and iCloud lock status. There's also a risk of dealing with dishonest sellers, so buying from the Marketplace can be hit or miss.

    • +2

True, you can definitely find cheaper ones on Marketplace, but it’s a bit of a gamble. We offer fully tested units with a 1-year warranty, no iCloud lock, and solid battery health—plus Express Post and a free sleeve included. A safer, more reliable option overall.
