The white colour looks better, but $5 more. Might order one from another seller.

    • +13

Red makes you run faster obviously.

  • +4

Thanks mate, looks like good value.

Is it just me or does this line from the AA review make no sense? "at 16 Ohms they're not difficult to power from even the most paltry of phone amplifiers."

    • +1

Wireless power is pretty amazing ya? :P

Maybe that's just a roundabout way of saying it has a paltry amp in it, but it doesn't matter?

    • You're right. It makes no sense as the phone's amp isn't driving anything.

  • that is one nice review on The Verge Review

    • That person really knows how to sell an earphone headset

  • -4

These are cheaper at GearBest (AU$28.37 delivered)
    http://www.gearbest.com/sports-fitness-headphones/pp_356162.…

If you don't like the red/black colour scheme, the white ones are an extra $3.

Very slow postage in my experience, but if you're interested in saving a further $8….

    • site says there $38 once you change the site from USD to AUD

      • +1

True - my bad. My browser defaults seem to have been reset :-(

        • What's Gearbest returned and warranty services are like? Their site has SSL installed so I might buy from them.

    • Not sure, but aren't mob behind both is the same? It is just different names after users having major issues in deliveries from one.

    • +2

      That is $28.37 USD.

  • Thanks op. Was looking for a cheap BT pair when cycling (want to start using my phone for maps/strava attached to handlebars).

  • +12

    "Water& Sweet Resistant & Durable"

What if I had just put a chupa chup in my ear?

    • +1

lol, That is a typo from the description i copied. I will fix it up.

    • What do you do if you just put a Chupa chup in your ear ? …. Rehab …

      • better than a wet willy i suppose….

  • Bought a pair black and red. Good deal I think, they will be good for gym, running and bike riding!

    • some reviews on aliexpress mentioned that this comes off ear while running.

    • +1

I had a similarly designed pair; the Plantronics Backbeat Go. I can confirm these will fall out of your ears, unless you're lucky enough for these to fit nice and snug. If you want something for exercise, get something which can hook over your ears.

    • -3

It's illegal to have your earphones on while riding your bike on the road…

      • Is this legit? Is there an actual law that is against this?

      • Do you have a legislative reference for that statement?
Is it also illegal to be deaf and ride a bike on the road?
I understand it not being a good idea to blast music so you can't hear ambient noise for awareness, but I don't believe it's illegal.

        • +2

          @PainToad:

It's definitely illegal to listen to music with headphones while driving.

I believe this to be a completely false statement.

        • @johnno07: Its not illegal but if the cop wants they can do you for dangerous driving if you are failing on the road or whatever they see fit.

        • When I was cycling, I had earphones on, but it was soft enough that I could hear traffic. I also am a defensive cyclist, I wear those flouro vests, the works.

I don't even think it's illegal for motorcyclists though. I don't have any references or anything, but that's what a friend of mine told me once. Either that or he was trying to assure me he was safe to do that. I'm too trusting.

Also, earphones or not, on the road, no-one can hear you fart. I found that out really quick.

        • +1

@Gringoesai: Of course they can. It's not illegal to swing a cricket bat either - unless you're swinging at a person's head.

Don't forget Cash Rewards Everbuying has 4.80% in comparison to GearBest 2.40%.

    How's the bass on these?

Edit - disregard, just read this review. Crappy Bass - http://www.androidcentral.com/meizu-ep51-headphones-review

    • -1

But it's all about the bass!

    • From a head-fi review.

      Sound Signature
The EP-51 is bassy, but not quite V shaped. Mids are slightly recessed, but less recessed than many of its competitors. Vocals are actually quite clear and prominent. Treble rolls off a bit, which is expected.

      Bass
There is some nice midbass and decent extension here. While not quite at basshead levels, bass lovers like myself will be more than satisfied with these compared to such sets as the Mpow Megneto, which somewhat lacks in this area. There is a slight amount of bleed into the mids, but at a much lower rate than a lot of other sets I’ve heard. Bass is actually controlled better than average for this price range, making the rest of the music come across much clearer than expected.

    • Meizu EP51 graph:
http://img1.lesnumeriques.com/test/12/12615/meizu_ep51_crf.j… (from Les Numériques, indirectly owned by a french multinational corporation).
So the sound is indeed not boomy but quite balanced with notable bass with a higher distorsion rate in the mediums.

The problem with head-fi is, there is too many sponsored reviews… but it's a good place to get some feedback.

  • +1

hmm weird - all the youtube reviews for this are in foreign laguages - mainly russian.

  • Thanks, should give me something to do while lawn mowing. That's a few hours a week to listen to some podcasts.

  • +12

I should honestly stop wasting money on headphones. I've only got one pair of ears.

    • +1

If you don't have cupboards full of earphones and rechargeable batteries, you're not an OzBargainer.

      • +2

        And torches…

      • +1

        Well typical ozbargain dilemma here
        😂😂

      • +1

Especially XiaoMi In Ear version 1 to 3…. and all the hybrid version along..

        And SSDs

      • +1

Don't forget the rewards CC and cash back bank cards

      • +1

        And SIM card packs…

      • Okay. So lots of you are putting me to shame. The only deals I've ever gotten off here are mobile phones, SSDs, and the occasional random thing I can't remember. I'm not a true Oz Bargainer. :(

    • This x 1000… Lol!

  • Thanks was about to buy them this morning!

  • +1

How is this compared to Mpow Wolverine headset?

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/225091

Wolverine headset is perfect for listening to TV shows on my tablet.

  • +1

how can we connect a bluetooth headsphones/earphones with TV. I don't think my TV has inbuilt Bluetooth

    • +2

You'll have to get an adapter that connects to the tv.

      • Thanks, Do you know what is that adapter called?

        • +4

A bluetooth transmitter. As an example, the Avantree Saturn Pro. You might want to research on Bluetooth latency. Some people seem to be more sensitive to it than others. Ideally you'd want to get both headset and transmitter that support the AptX low-latency codec. Will cost you more though.

        • Thanks. will look up.

  • +6

Fair warning, I ordered some headphones from Everbuying on the 10th of June, still haven't received them.

For what it's worth, so far support has been quick in replying to me, will see what happens in terms of receiving the order. Regardless, be prepared to wait a long while..

    • +1

That's why Everbuying is on my banned list. Won't buy from them no matter how cheap the item is.

    • +2

Not sure why you got negged for giving your feedback.

    • +2

Not sure if I can edit so I'm just going to put in an update. This deal reminded me to contact them again as the 'shipping window' for the item arriving had elapsed. Support has already gotten back to me and offered to either send a new pair with 'express' (10-25 days) shipping, or refund the purchase.

So for what it's worth, despite the issues with shipping I definitely can't complain about the customer service.

        Hi Becky,

I contacted support through your website and they have been very helpful and quick to respond. Thank you for the offer though!

Are these in-ear? I'm looking for some bluetooth earphones but I will NOT use in-ear ones.

    • I can't find any "on-ear" "ear"phones.

      • The plantronic backbeat fit are on ear earphones (i.e. You can hear ambient sound)

      • The ones that come with iPhone are and always have been non-in-ear. They just aren't Bluetooth.

    • Wearing type : In-Ear

Perhaps you should have read the whole description before asking?

  • Is this one genuine? the chinese official site is showing 269RMB which is around 50AUD.

    • you can read Chinese? good on you. its actual online retail price is approximately between 150 and 175RMB, which is around 30-35AUD.

      • I am a chinese, from Meizu official website the price is 269RMB for this one.

      • If you are quoting Taobao price, it might be genuine as there is always a grey distribution channel from their outsourcing manufactuer for Tabobao seller.

        • It's not "maybe genuine", they are genuine.

        • -1

@aec: I dont buy it whats so ever.

        • @JackyQ: lmfao

  • +1

Anyone know what the fit is like on these? I have some brainwavz bluetooth earphones and they just won't stay in at all. Seems my ear canal is too shallow or something cause the distance from the earpiece to the ear support was way too long no matter which tip I used :(

    • +1

I can't say for certain, but I had a similar pair, and they wouldn't stay in either. I'd suggest going for something that hooks over the ear.

    • +2

Check out something like the Mpow Cheetahs for running with. They're the best reasonably priced running headphones I've used.

    Sorry for negative feedback.

They are taking too much time for a post. Still, I am waiting for last purchases.

Ebay sellers are batter, they refund the money if it is not delivery in time.

After more than a month, still waiting for 2 pairs of earphone ordered from everbuying. Am avoiding them from now on.

    • Looks like I'm having the same issue. I ordered a battery from them on 17/7 and haven't received it yet. Not sure what their shipping window stipulates, but I guess I should get on the paypal dispute early.

Anyone know how these compare to QCY? I have the QY19 and find them pretty decent.

    • Was gonna ask this as well. I lost my QC19's and even though I liked them, I would definitely pick these up if someone could give a comparison.

  • These earphones are well rated, but is Everbuying worth the risk? Seems some members have reservations but I take it some have had good experience? I haven't purchased from them before. Are they a bit of hit and miss?

  • Just be aware that this headphone has low audio quality for phone calls according to online review. If you only use for sports, it should be fine.

  • it seems if u sign up u get a 10% off coupon code. I failed big time and bought the headphone already

  • Bought two headphones and still waiting. 25th may.. not sure if I wanna wait another 4mths …

  • I've bought 3 headphones from these guys and they have all arrived earlier than expected, guess it just depends on the deal?

  • Hi fellow miscreant tightarses .. :-)
I was wondering if these would be any good as a gaming headset , my 9 year old grandson has been hinting he needs one to play on Xbox, PS4 and PC .. yeah I know spoilt little bugger ..lol
    Your opinions please.

I cannot have anther device with Bluetooth connection to my phone. I have got a Up2 band purchased a couple month ago when it was on special. With Bluetooth being occupied by the band, this earphone is useless to me. Sadly I have to give it a miss
