Hi All

I sent Becky from Everbuying a message and asked if she could do a deal on Meizu EP51. It has received good reviews from both The Verge and Android Central, so i was keen to try them out. I currently have the Plantronics Backbeat Fit and it has started to develop some issues, so hopefully this is the perfect replacement.

  • now its gone back up to USD 28.74

    • Hi there,

I just confirmed again, it is because of a system error. Now we have fixed the bug, you can use this coupon to get it at $26.7.

Thanks for your interest in this product.

      Becky

  • For those that ordered how long did it take to get your shipping notification?

    • About 1 day.

      • Thanks mate. Been about 48 hours and I still haven't heard anything.

I paid for 'expedited shipping' which is supposed to be 3-5 days via DHL/FEDEX. What I got was 'Australia Post Registered' and a delivery time frame of 5-10 days. Oh, and the tracking doesn't work. Pretty dodgy.

Email them and get your delivery fee refunded.

        Thanks, that's what I just did :)
I'm a bit annoyed though - I read all the comments about how hopeless Everybuying were, but I thought I'd give them a go. Lesson learned I guess. I almost couldn't be bothered dealing with Everbuying and would rather just PayPal claim…

        • Not sure why this dodgy company is allowed to post so many deals here every week. They don't even have SSL installed and it's unsafe to shop with a credit card. Even Ozbargain has SSL installed.

DX is banned and they're 10x better.

        • @PW: That's fair enough. They should allow a voting system for online stores (or physical stores) to allow for a more transparent banning system. Maybe a ratio system. I'm not sure.
Kind of sucks though, I paid $50AUD all up for these headphones + delivery. In hindsight I don't know what I was thinking (I was probably half asleep). If it was $10 I'd let it go.

        • @S3ISOR: Hey mate, did you end up with a refund on postage?

I ordered a dashcam from everbuying last friday and paid for expedited shipping and it was also posted by "Australia Post registered". Pretty disappointing. Paid an extra $11USD for it.

        • @theguyrules: They initially tried to claim that Australia Post Registered (via DPEX) is expediated and that there would be no postage refund. I wrote back and said that I paid for 3-5 days shipping via DHL/FEDEX, not 5-10 days shipping via DPEX/AusPost, and that I would like a refund or I'd take it further with PayPal. They then offered to refund my postage costs as a gesture of 'good will', without admitting that there was a problem. I'd accepted the refund. It should appear in my PayPal account in 48 hours apparently. I'll update if I actually receive the refund.

          @S3ISOR:
          Ah fair enough. Real shame.
I messaged the everbuying ozbargain account cause they were helpful last time I had issues. They put through a refund and I got an email from Paypal straight away, at that point its just waiting for PayPal to put the refund back onto my card.

          Thanks again.

        • @theguyrules: Thanks for the tip. If I haven't received a refund in the next 2 days I'll do the same. I'm pretty dissapointed. I'll be avoiding them from now on.

        • @S3ISOR: Yeah, me too. First finding out something marked as 'IN STOCK' won't actually be shipping until after Sep 2nd, and then this shipping issue.

Hopefully it comes fairly quickly :\

        • @S3ISOR:
No luck getting a refund, despite showing them this: http://imgur.com/a/mqxQq

First image being the delivery estimate shown when paying for the shipping, the 2nd being the estimate from the email.

        • @theguyrules: Did they rescind on their refund promise to you?

        • @theguyrules: I received my $8 USD refund. It came through PayPal last night.

        • @S3ISOR:
Nah didn't get a promise for this issue, the refund was for another order I wanted cancelled.
Glad to hear you got one though!

        • @theguyrules: Thanks mate. It still sucks overall though. Blatant false advertising.

  • My headphones turned up today via Australia Post. So shipped on 16/08 and delivered on 24/08. 7 business days is pretty good really. I still think they should change their expedited shipping to reflect that Australian orders can be shipped via DPEX/AusPost and take 5-10 days, not 3-5 days via DHL/FEDEX as per the listing.
In any case, thanks OP. I'm looking forward to testing them out.

  • anyone else receive theres yet? My tracking has it at singapore for the last 7 days, no movement

i assume its either literally sitting there or just hasnt had any tracking updates once entering AUS?

    • Mine have done the same based off their tracking website, but I got more information from DHL ecommerce so maybe try your luck there. I believe they are on the way for me as of the 24th but the tracking information is very lacklustre.

      • thanks :)

it appears it has gone to perth to get to south coast NSW go figure, least can see it is on its way :)

      • Thanks mate saw that it arrived in Melbourne 3 days ago so hopefully getting it today!

    • Just received mine in Perth yesterday.

Have to say, these are surprisingly very good. Far better than I was expecting for the price!

      • Do they stay in the ear when moving around? That's always been my biggest concern

        • I have not used them walking around much but so far no drama just around the office.

        • @uradox:

Have you tried the microphone for calls? Wondering if it's as bad as the reviews say

        • @dajackal:

If I had them with me today I'd give that a crack for you but unfortunately I dont.
I very rare have used headphones to make calls to be honest. I have a habit of disconnecting them (wired) and just answering using the phone.

  • I am happy with mine, but I am unsure how it is meant to fit in the ear can someone draw up a diagram lol it fits but feels loosish, is the loop meant to go somewhere specific? Im at work but will try the other attachments when I get home

    • im a bit confused… I have the Plantronic wireless earphones and they fit nicely in my ear canals. but this Meizu doesn't fit nicely. I feel like the earbuds are way too short for my ear canals. so at the moment when I'm wearing them, they're just sitting outside of my ear canals. :( so i don't hear the deep bass you guys are talking about.

      • XL, L, M, or S earplugs all wouldn't fit my ear properly. I think they need one bigger size XXL.

  • Still waiting for mine :( hopefully tomorrow

    • have you got yours yet?

      • I ordered 2, one (came Tuesday) has arrived the other hasn't (ordered 1 day after)

  • Still waiting on mine too - have been in Perth since last Weds!

    • Ordered 17/8 and still yet to receive mine.

DHL eCommerce tracking says it landed in Melbourne 30/8. Not sure why it's taking so long to get to Sydney.

  • Mine arrived yesterday. I am quite happy with them. A bit tricky to connect with my phone but got there eventually. Sit nicely in my ears. Sound is ok. I haven't tried using the mic in a call yet.
Thanks to the OP for posting this deal. :-)

  • Received last Friday. Very happy with the sound quality. Also nicely packaged with multiple ear plug sizes.

  • Got both mine in the end just took a while, 24days

    • Business days or calendar days?
