Also got my usual AmEx Email when I was typing up this post. :-)

  • I got a Unifi AC-LR wireless AP for $192 delivered, minus $40 = $152 = bargain if you need a good quality wireless access point.

  • Might want to update the post as it must have changed for Mwave, no mention of in-store any more..

Has anyone checked if this works with MWAVE gift cards?

Also, for those looking for a good deal, the corsair scimitar is going for $109 last I checked, bought one myself. With the discount its $69 give or take some (2% surcharge and possible shipping)

  • Edit; ended up purchasing a laptop bag and stand. Yet to see cashback though.

  • I wonder if the Amex cash back works with the Qantas Amex which has no annual fee https://amexnetwork.com.au/OurCards

    • +1

That's what I used to get my corsair scimitar

  • It says for me on my AMEX issued card:
Oops, our records show that you have already enrolled in this offer. We limit the number of times that a Card Member can enrol in each offer.

    But I definitely haven't enrolled.

    • contact amex via online form - they're generally pretty good at fixing things :)

  • Noob question, but do the Amex deals usually work if I pay through PayPal? (- it would make future transactions quicker)

    • +2

No, a quick read of the T&Cs says you can't go through 3rd party processors such as PayPal.

  • can anyone recommend headphones that will work for both PS4 and Xbox that mwave sell?

I'm a total noob in this area and figure I should get some since we are expecting a newborn. Usually blast the surround system…

    Thanks in advance :)

  • Registered and Purchased using a bank issued AmEx at checkout with 2% free on Thursday. Goods shipped Monday, delivered Tuesday morning and had $40 cashback credit in bank account on Wednesday.

Can you take advantage of this offer for multiple purchases before the cutoff date? I'm thinking of making more than one $100+ purchase at mwave (i.e a pair of 500gb ssd's)

  • Has anyone successfully split payment over multiple Amex cards at Mwave? Sounds like it can't be done online and they don't actually accept AMEX over the counter in shop. So not possible?

    • -1

      Yep.

      • Yep as in possible?

Can anyone confirm if they had an successful cash back on an instore purchase?

        • Sorry, it is not possible to spend instore, and it is not possible to split payments online.

    • I tried splitting payment in store, they wouldn't accept it. Their loss, my saving :)

      • did in store purchase trigger a notice for cash back?

        • I didn't go ahead with the in store purchase as they wouldn't accept payment over 2 cards (they knew of the amex offer and said they're not allowed to split anymore).

  • no longer can register to mwave
